I kind of tried to search this but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, (sorry if this is a repeat thread)
I applied to the Duke ABSN program, and I've got an interview comming up. Anyone have any advice? Anyone gone through the whole process of applying, or the program? I really love what I've seen of Duke so far - and want to go there!
I haven't been able to find any statistics either (average grades, how many apply, get interviews, get accepted).
Anyone know anything?
THANKS!
Well, today could be the day they send notification to "accepted" students . Had the "accepted" students posted on boards like this first, that might've left the rest wondering or assuming rejection... maybe they're saving the "best" news for last if you want to look at it that way. Stay faithful everyone!
I think they are notifying applicants in the order they were interviewed rather than whether they were accepted or not. I interviewed on Jan 25 and was told at my session that I would hear late Feb, which was true. A friend of mine that interviewed on Feb 8 was told she would hear early March, and she still hasn't heard anything yet. And I don't recall any others who had interviewed Feb 8 posting any news yet.
FYI for those who are waitlisted -
I emailed Melissa this morning asking what my ranking was on the waitlist and she said that they are still in the process of ranking all the waitlisted people. She said that if you contact her in a few weeks she will be able to tell you where you stand.
Hi All! This is my first post as I just recently found this great website! I too applied for the Duke ABSN program for fall 2008 admission. I just received the email notification this morning, and I have also been waitlisted. I am remaining hopeful, but the uncertainty is killing me! Melissa provided me wiht the same information- that our place on the list will be available in a few weeks. I will keep everyone updated if I hear any new news! Good Luck to everyone!

One of the tour guides shared that she was on the waitlist until just 2 weeks before class; point is, she still got in! Let's maintain faith
