Duke ABSN Fall 2017

U.S.A. North Carolina

Hi guys! I haven't seen a thread yet for Duke's ABSN Fall 2017 yet, so just thought I'd get it started! I'm excited to be attending the open house later in September and look forward to meeting some of you there.

Looks like Nora is out of the office until Thursday. She said she would send out an email to all impacted students once decisions were released.

To those who were accepted, how long do you have to accept or deny ?

1 month, by May 4th.

Does anybody have any reference of how many people were waitlisted?

Hello, I am new to this page, but I have been reading some things. Can I get any opinions on applying straight out of college? Good/Bad Idea?

I'm currently waitlisted. Nora did send out an emailing saying that I was a promising and competitive candidate for the Spring and to apply by the priority deadline. So maybe waitlisted students would have a better chance next round, or I don't know why they'd send that out!! There's hope!

I got the same email, I am considering applying but just wondering when we would be notified of admission. I believe the spring admission cycle is less competitive than fall since it's a less traditional time to begin school as well.

Hi everyone!

I'm curious if anyone knows... I know Anatomy and Physiology as well as Microbiology require a B or better. I took AP I at my current school and made a C+ after the applications were due. I was recently accepted into the Fall 2017 cohort, but was wondering if its possible to retake that course this summer so I can receive a B or better. Also, can that course be taken entirely online, or does the lab require to be taken in person?

Thanks!

You can definitely take it again, as long as it is before the semester starts!! I'm not sure whether you can take the course online though, although I'd assume yes you can.

Will you have to pay the $50 application fee all over again?

No, w do not. They will give us a waiver.

I really hope they post the financial aid by Friday... this wait is crazy on my mental well-being lol
