Hi guys! I haven't seen a thread yet for Duke's ABSN Fall 2017 yet, so just thought I'd get it started! I'm excited to be attending the open house later in September and look forward to meeting some of you there.

I'm in as well!!!!!
Congrats to all of you who got in or waitlisted (still something to be proud of!)
How are you all planning to pay for tuition though? As much as I'd like to accept my spot I don't know how it would be possible to pay for tuition considering you only get $7500 in student loans per semester yet tuition is $21,000 per semester...
Am I missing something here?

I'm crossing all my fingers and toes and hoping to get need based scholarship from Duke as I was under the federal poverty line last year. If I don't receive at least 40,000 from Duke I'll have to choose a cheaper program. Everybody wants your money these days, and it only gets more difficult to get any help. That's why I applied to to 7 programs.
I also got into a state school thats way cheaper, but they obviously don't offer any aid and are not as prestigious as Duke is. I know Duke could potentially give a lot so I hope they do cause I would really love to attend and not be like 100k in debt by the end! I hope we find out about the aid soon! Do they give it to everyone who applied, and how much depends on your FAFSA and tax return and stuff? Or do some people not get any at all? I just wonder how they determine who gets what and how many scholarships they give.
