Duke ABSN Fall 2015

Hi All,

Just wanted to get a thread going for those who are applying to the Fall 2015 ABSN program. What are some of your degrees in? Is anyone applying to other schools? Also, is anyone planning on moving to North Carolina to attend?

Judging from other cohort forums, we are notified that there is a new notification in our applicant portal. Right now the portal just says "No notifications," that will probably change once we get the decision. Then we download the admissions decision letter and if we got in they include a financial package.

Stategrl is correct, that's what NH from admissions told me today. Also, it appears that they are able to input the info on the portal and disseminate the verdict to the applicants around the same time so, we should all find out our fate at the same time.

Great, good to know. Helps alleviate some of the anticipation. I'll be doing a cross-country move with the family, too, so I'm anxious to get plans solidified. Duke is the only fall start program I applied for; the others start in May so we're getting down to the last minute with the move if Duke doesn't work out. Sounds like we'll have a busy weekend planning some things out either way!

Was just accepted to another program! Hopefully I will be 2 for 2 once Duke releases their results!

Duke is definitely my top choice. The other program is a Master's level program in California, but we want to buy a house and have our money go much further living in NC. Let's see what happens. I wish all of us the best of luck in the next 24 hours in hearing back from Duke.

good luck everyone! i'm actually really nervous... i submitted my application, only to notice that i had one word misspelled =_=... if anyone also applied to Hopkins, both Duke and Hopkins had the same exact essay question.

I wouldn't worry about a single word. I also might have accidently left out a conjunction word on my first response. I might have fixed it when I copy/pasted my answers into the application field, but I'm not sure. I'm sure our qualifications and academics will be the real reason we get in or not...no worries, just try to relax

mine says not ready... my last name begins w W. i think in the past ppl who had decision not ready didn't get in.
