Duke ABSN Fall 2011

Does anyone know anything about Spring enrollment? If the worse case scenario occurs and I'm not accepted after second round but still interested in enrolling in the spring would I have to apply all over again?
I vaguely remember hearing that you'd have to start the process all over again but I thought I'd ask here.

I hope you're right! Let's keep those finger and toes crossed. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it!

I will be keeping everything crossed as well. I would like to know how many people are in the second round because it seems like a lot of our fellow posters are in the same situation. Hopefully we will find out more information soon.

It does seem like most of the people who post here got wait listed. Did people get rejected or was everyone who didn't make the first round put on the second round?

Will they tell us our ranking? Will they let us know any sooner than April 5th?

I guess this is an exercise in patience....

If I hear anything else I'll make sure to share!

nikki164--Columbia!! I'm doing their combined BS/MS program (also called ETP)..I picked the Women's Health Specialty with a focus on Genetics in Advanced Practice..it's a 2 and a half year program which is super sweet! Good luck :)

I emailed her yesterday. She said she could not disclose how many offers were sent out, but she did say that some applicants were denied. So everyone who wasnt offered a spot in the first round was put in the second round.

She also said we will know by April 5th or sooner (hopefully sooner )....Im not sure about rankings, probably not unless we are actually put on a waitlist which I think happens after the second round offers are sent out.

Thanks for the information. I was going to email her those questions but you beat me to it. I hope that this year's admission pattern is like the past patterns because in the past years they were able to go through the waitlists.

Hi all,

I was second rounded but I'm having Duke take me off the list... I got into my first choice (Hopkins).

Best of luck to all of you, one less gal to worry about in the pool...

I saw that several other second poolers got into other schools of their choosing so hang in there!

Duke has an amazing program -- I will miss the language track, but can't afford to wait until April to see where I stand.

ashted- congrats on columbia! unfortunately, that was the only program so far that i was rejected to. i wasn't thrilled about the program so I wasn't too upset. When do you start? I'd love to know what you think of it once you're enrolled.
