Drop 5 months before graduation....what can I do!!

Hi,

I was in the ADN program and was dropped 5 months before graduation all due to not understanding ATI which we rarely used. I made a 98 on the practice test but was told to remediate for 3 hrs watching videos from missed questions. The video only lasted 8 mins so I wasn't sure as to how 3 hrs would come from that and failed the class cause I wasn't granted the points. Now I have all these credits and feeling totally devastated.

I researched the internet and found that I can still challenge the LPN boards in Florida and other states but not here in Georgia. I spoke with a nurse consultant that informed me that I had way more than enough credits to take the boards, so I've decided to take that route, but I'm still facing an obstacle because the required form (PNEQ) has to be signed by the dean who refuse to sign. I've emailed her multiple times, made appointments to meet with her but she keeps rescheduling. At this point, I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to see me succeed in Nursing. I've been very nice and patient with her but are getting no results. The vice president keeps referring me back to the dean which is no help. Please, any advice is needed...what should I do or what else can I do??? I've been trying for two months???

Just for clarification, You said you were dropped from the ADN program with 5 months left? Was the dismissal a result of failing this one ATI exam, or are there other circumstances that caused your dismissal? A little more info would help me make suggestions.

If you’d be more comfortable we could discuss this through the messaging this site offers.

I don't know how to work the site. I'm new on here but let me see how to get to messenger.

I, too, need more clarification on "missing questions" to be able to properly address your situation, OP.

I agree with other respondents here. There has got to be more to this story. Being dropped from the program based on failing one test seems pretty extreme. I do remember as a student back in the dark ages there were a couple of tests that were mandatory to pass for graduation but those always had an option to retest if it was failed.

Even if the OP was dropped from the program with 5 months remaining, where's the option to simply retake the failed semester? I graduated with a few students that had failed a semester and had to retake it. Granted it delayed their graduation date but it in no way derailed their entire degree.
