Drexel ACE Spring 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey folks! I have not found a thread for prospective students of the Spring 2016 accelerated BSN program(ACE), so I figured I would start one! It could be helpful to other folks to have you post a basic profile of yourself, when you applied to the program, and if/when you are accepted. I believe the deadline for application is April 15, 2015, but I think they allow applications on a rolling basis after that date until the cohort is filled.

I went ahead and applied in early March, so I know this thread is a bit early! I am taking 3 prereqs this summer and will finish what I need to complete in the fall. I am a male 24 years old and I have a Bachelors degree in Political science. My GPA for my first degree was 3.3.

Good luck to everyone!

Please let me know if I have any information that is incorrect!

Specializes in ICU.

Hey good luck.

I reapplied for this cohort I didn't get into the fall 2015 cohort because I was not completed A&P 2. I am sending in my A&P 2 grades as soon as they're out in May so I'm hoping to get in this time.

My first degree was from temple, 3.75 gpa in accounting and legal studies. I need to still complete microbiology and chemistry with a lab.

Hello everyone.

i applied to spring 2016 and they received all my transcripts around March 18.

I have all the requirements except nutrition and developmental psychology which I am taking this summer. Does anyone know when they usually accept students?

Any one applying from California :)?

I applied for the Spring as well! I still need to finish Chem 1, Microbio and Developmental Psych. I'm about to graduate from Temple with a degree in Public Health. :)

I was accepted this morning!!!! Anyone else hear back?

Haven't heard anything yet! could you please let us know when you applied and your stats? :]

I finished my application March 7! I had three great letters of recommendation and a really strong personal statement essay. I also sent my resume. My overall undergraduate GPA is 2.97, my last 60 credit GPA is a 3.4. I have about a 3.0 in my prereqs. I graduate with a BS in Public Health this spring. I have had many internships in the healthcare field and currently work at a medical assistant with no certification at planned parenthood. Although I just started working at a medical assistant this winter, I worked full time throughout college as a waitress, so I have a pretty dense resume. I have also been accepted to 3 other schools, so I am just making my decision now! I know there are some of you out there with about average stats just like me, so do not worry! You will get into a school! I never thought I would and now I have to decide between 4 schools! I got into , Samford University, Northeastern, and MCPHS for anyone who is interested!

Do any of you know anyone in the program? I'm really nervous about the intensity of it! I am from Massachusetts originally but I currently live in Charleston, SC and graduate from the College of Charleston in two weeks!

Congrats on all your acceptances. Which school do you think you will attend?

I don't remember any spots for letter of recommendations. The application was so simple I didn't really include much except for what they asked for on the application. I didn't think we needed a personal statement either! Did I miss a supplemental app or something?

There was a place to include an essay and that's where I put my personal statement! I also called and asked if I could mail letters of recommendation and a resume and they said yes and they would put all into consideration! I think I am leaning towards Samford University in Birmingham AL just because they have been so helpful throughout this whole process, the cohort is super small, and the program lasts 18 months so it is nice and slow. I have three more days to decide so I'll let you know if I open up my spot!

So smart! Should of done that too! Well good luck with everything. Its still early I think so hopefully I hear back soon! I didn't submit my application until beginning of April either! Thanks :)
