Drexel ACE Spring 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey folks! I have not found a thread for prospective students of the Spring 2016 accelerated BSN program(ACE), so I figured I would start one! It could be helpful to other folks to have you post a basic profile of yourself, when you applied to the program, and if/when you are accepted. I believe the deadline for application is April 15, 2015, but I think they allow applications on a rolling basis after that date until the cohort is filled.

I went ahead and applied in early March, so I know this thread is a bit early! I am taking 3 prereqs this summer and will finish what I need to complete in the fall. I am a male 24 years old and I have a Bachelors degree in Political science. My GPA for my first degree was 3.3.

Good luck to everyone!

Please let me know if I have any information that is incorrect!

So my application was withdrawn and I called to see why, they said I did not have enough prerequisites completed for them to make a decision. So now my application is on hold while I am taking 3 prereqs this summer. So hopefully after I send my summer grades in I will be admitted!

Yeah same type of thing here -- I called them and they said they wanted more sciences but since I had both A&P completed they would take my application off hold and consider it. It's because I have Micro and Chem with a lab left. (I took Chem without a lab in college so I have to retake it). With the huge gap between application deadlines and start dates it wouldn't make sense for me to reapply for the next term so here's hoping it works out for Spring 16. Good luck to everyone !

Anybody else still waiting to head back?! I applied late April and still haven't heard anything. They did put me on hold for my fall grades but received them three weeks ago

My application wasn't complete until May 26th when they received my spring grades. I went to the informational session on the 27th and they said decisions would be made about 6-8 weeks after the application was completed. Ksweez I'm guessing it will be 6-8 after they received those grades, not necessary when you applied. Keep positive and Im crossing my fingers, waiting is the worst! Congrats to all that have been accepted and hope to see you all in the fall!

I got a response on 6/22. My 1st application was withdrawn for not having completed a majority of the pre-reqs. I completed them and reapplied for Spring 2016...I got in. My 1st degree was in Middle Level Education with a 3.8 undergrad GPA. My science GPA was a 3.5. You should hear back soon. Good luck, hope to see you in the Spring!

Your thread has been moved to the Nursing Schools and Colleges forum where the other school specific discussions are. We hope you will receive additional responses in this new location.

Hey all- I just got in yesterday and I applied on May 27th. I applied for the fall cohort originally, but wasn't done my prereqs before the class filled up.

Congrats!! Mine was also complete around then (26th) so hopefully I hear one way or another soon. My prereqs have been complete since May í ½í¸ƒ

Congrats! I also will be in the Spring Cohort. Very exciting. I too applied for fall but hadn't completed 2 of the science requirements.

I will be attending the Spring 2016 cohort. Received my transcript credit evaluation and found out that they are not going to take my chemistry [Chemistry of Life from Northampton Community College]. They want me to take General Chemistry. So Fall registration here I come. :(

OMG. Same here. I actually got all cleared from transcript review team only to later to find out inadvertently from my adviser they won't take it. Pissed me off because if I hadn't reached out, I wouldn't have known. Alife we are in similar situations. Can't wait to actually talk to someone at the info session.

Me too. Of all the subjects it had to be chemistry. A subject I do not care for. Ugh! I will be attending the information session on the 1st of August.
