Drexel ACE Program (Fall 2021)

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey, guys its a bit early but wanted to open a chat so we could all talk about the Fall 2021 ACE program (11 months) at University! Feel free to share stats, questions, concerns, and more!

Hi!

Congrats to everyone who got in for this fall! I am looking to apply for Spring 2021 and had a couple questions maybe you all could help with:

- Did you also add each place you did your prerequisites under academic information in the main application or just enter that information in the supplemental? I took mine elsewhere than my undergrad and it was across a lot of different places.

- It doesn't look like there's a place to upload a letter of recommendation or personal statement... just checking I am not missing something like that (fine by me if I don't have to haha!)

I reached out to admissions because I took A&P without lab (I'm signed up to take it with lab this Summer) and they said they may still consider my application if I can prove it is/will be in progress, but I have some other pre-reqs to knock out too so I won't be surprised if they don't actually make a decision on my application by the priority deadline. I'm just hoping they won't outright reject me and that there will still be open spots when I am complete with everything! I'm super interested in this program and am even more so based off the feedback current students gave in this thread so thank you all for sharing!

how much is the program in total?

Hello everyone! For those of you in the program, how many classes are you taking each quarter? Are you taking both Patho and Pharma together? I've reached out to the coordinator about a tentative quarter schedule but she only sent over the list of classes for the entire academic year.

Also, what's the passing score for each class? I know in some programs, you must meet anywhere from 72-80% to pass the class.

Thank you

The passing score is a 77% which is considered a C. Patho is taken in you first quarter, and Pharma is taken over 2 quarters (Q2 and Q3). In the first quarter we have 5 classes with clinicals once a week every other week. Hope that helps!

Hey! I'm starting in the ACE program this Fall (next month!!) so if anyone has any questions about the application process or even about the program as I'm going through it, feel free to ask! I'm happy to help ?

Hi! I was wondering if you would mind sharing what your experience has been with the program so far? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I’m deciding between two accelerated nursing programs: Duquesne or . I’m having a hard time getting conclusive answers online so I’m hoping someone can help me. Can anyone give insight on both programs? Pros and cons? Does Drexel utiilize HESI, and if so, how often and do most students pass? What does it look like when students fail a course? How many students fail out of the program? How prepared do you feel to take the NCLEX? Do you feel the quarter system is doable? Any insight would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance! ?

Oh okay, how long has it been since you received your acceptance.?I know that the transcript evaluation is supposed to take about 2-3 weeks. I'm wondering if I should quickly purchase an english course and get started because I have no clue if mine will be accepted and everything needs to be done before jan 15th.

your course sounds fine though, I think it will be accepted

Hey, did they end up accepting your English prerequisite? I’m in a similar situation where I have not taken an English Composition class since I passed the AP exam with a 3 score, but I just found out they only accept scores if it’s a 4 or 5 ?. Although, I did take an upper division English writing class so hopefully they can sub it.

Hey sorry I am responding so late, I had missed this for some reason.

I had emailed them at the time to check if my writing intensive class in social science would pass but they said no and I ended up buying an english composition course from portage learning which I was able to complete in a little under a month. The instructors were very understanding and sped up my grading. I was able to complete it and got into on time

Hi! For the people that did decide to attend 's ace program could you give me some insight? Like if you like the program, the difficulty level, the teachers, organization, HEIS exam, or anything? I am still deciding between Widener's and Drexel's ace program.
