Did they give you a time limit for accepting or declining your offer?

Hi guys, after getting waitlisted I just found out today I got accepted ☺️ very excited to start this program with you all!

That’s awesome! What did the waitlist process look like? We’re there any stipulations around it like them wanting to see something else (pending transcripts with pre-read for examp) or sis they say they were full so you were placed on the waitlist in the event a spot opened up? Trying to figure out how it was framed. Any info would be helpful ??

Ahh OK thanks for your feedback!  I'm definitely going to see if I can send a follow-up email to someone in admissions and see what's up.

Did you ever hear back? I was told to submit my transcripts after I finished the class I’m currently taking then I’d get an admissions answer as long as they weren’t full. Puts me in a very ambiguous spot. Not sure where I stand or what my chances are with that information.

Hi! I did heard back eventually. If you don't mind me asking, which classes do you still need? I believe you need to have 3/4 of the science pre-reqs by the time you apply.

It was actually a weird story. So I actually applied a while after the October deadline, possibly around the beginning of December.  I later found out I got waitlisted around 2-3 weeks after they received my transcripts and application. When I checked on my Discover account, the reasoning behind the waitlist was because of a "high applicant pool". So I went to schedule an individual counseling session with my admissions counselor. We spoke via Zoom and from there I asked her why I was waitlisted, what I can do to strengthen my application, etc. While we were having that conversation, she looked through admission's notes and realized that they didn't even review the final transcript that I sent them. On their end, they were saying I still needed to take some pre-reqs even though I took most of them already, and that was the reason why I was put on the waitlist.

Basically, it was all a misunderstanding and she apologized and said she would send my transcript back to them to review. The following business day, she emailed me back saying a decision was made on my application. I checked my Drexel account and it was posted there.

If it helps at all, while me and my counselor were speaking, she was saying that Admissions takes everything into account. For example, the fact that I had taken initiative to schedule a meeting with her and speak to her about my application is something that Admissions take note of. So aside from them review my final transcript, I believe that had a part in their decision as well.

Sorry is the story is really long and boring, LOL if you have any other questions I'd be happy to answer them!

Wow this was incredibly helpful for so many reasons. I really appreciate it and thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience. I have the pre-requisites that are required for an admissions decision, but my application says they need to see my Microbiology grade and nutrition grades before making a decision. This was confusing because when I spoke with them during the application process, I was told that as long as I had both A&P courses (I’ve got both) and either Chemistry OR Microbiology, they would make an admissions decision. They told me to submit my transcript once I finish MB and nutrition in May which I’m taking now, to be further considered. I’m worried that the program might be full by then. Plus, I was originally told that wouldn’t be a problem so I’m confused as to why it’s an issue now.
Your story was really helpful! Thanks again!

It's no problem at all, hope everything works out in your favor!

Hi! I just checked my application and it says I’ve been admitted for Fall 2021. I’m hesitant to accept because I heard it’s really expensive but cheaper than NYU (who rejected me). Most likely I’ll go through with it because of the shortness of the program. Anyone know how much $ the program is in total?

Congrats on getting accepted! It's about half the price of NYU which is why I ended up choosing over them. Total cost for the program (including first quarter fees but NOT including room/board) is about $58,000.

Hi everyone, I just found out I was accepted! I do have an interview for Jefferson's FACT 1 on Wednesday so I'm waiting to hear back from them as well. Does anyone know what 's attrition rate is?

Hello! I got into my entry-level DNP program and will be giving up my seat at . Hope you all enjoy the program :)!
