Drexel ACE Fall 2010

Published

Has anyone heard back from Drexel for the fall 2010 class? My husband attended the info session for me a few weeks ago (he works in Philly and I had to work late), and he loved the school. On their website it says you have to have 7 pre-reqs completed prior to applying, but then it says they will not review transcripts until after you are accepted. Does anyone have any info on this?

lwalsh, yes, I had more than 7 pre-reqs completed.

Are you from the Pottstown area by any chance?

Rent in NYC is super high, which is why I moved to NJ. I don't like it as much as the city, but I have a view of the city and am not far away. You could always move over here and save some money for a year. At least you have some options before school starts. :-)

Careful now, I may show up on your doorstep with a suitcase and my two chihuahuas ;-)

I have neighbors below me I'd like to get rid of! :-)

Kd -

Just wanted to let you know that I spoke to Drexel and yes you should file your FAFSA now for the 2010-2011 term. Luckily since I applied to another school, I just had to make a correction and add Drexel to the list. I would do it ASAP so they can send you your financial aid info with your acceptance :-P Here is there code for Drexel: 003256. By the way, does the program start in March or May? I'm a lil confused :-)

Elle,

I don't know if I should thank you or not - you've added something else to my to list! ;-P I will submit my FAFSA asap. Thanks!

Spring 2011 begins at the end of March. Drexel operates on a quarter system, so it's a little different from most other schools, hence the strange calendar. You can check it out here: http://www.drexel.edu/provost/calendars/quarter/

Personally, I like it because it gives me a break from pre-reqs and I'll have time to look for housing.

hey, i am going to attend fall 2010 ACE and i live in LA, wondering what everyone thinks about Phili???

Can someone please recommend a good (average intensity) online ethics class to take? I need to drop the one I'm in now, it's awful, plain and simple.

I need to take it this summer (I'm attending the ACE program in the fall). Thanks.

Hey 06California

I am taking an Ethics course through Excelsior College. You can buy the books and course guide and then sign up for the test whenever you feel prepared. I believe you have two chances to pass the exam. Let me know if I can provide any more information!

06california,

im taking an online class called ethical problems at CCP... its not that bad. Just some busy work. You'll need to post to forums about the readings twice a week and write 3 3-5 page papers

good luck!

uscdg: will drexel accept Excelsior credits? I know it's kind of a unique program, that's why I'm wondering. I came across it (it looks great), but even on their website they mention that not all programs accept their credit.

bridget marie: what is CCP?

06California- Yes Drexel accepts the credit from Excelsior. The ACE Nursing Academic Advisor, called the other day to double check I was in an Ethics course and I told her where I was taking it and had scheduled the test and she said that sounded great!

Hope this helps!!

Awesome. I think I am going to take it through American Public University, their course dates work the best for me. Good luck with your ethics course!
