Hi everyone, I wanted to start this thread for all the eager Nursing applicants just like myself! :) I have completed my 10 courses in Fall 2015, and have applied once for Winter 2017 but did not get accepted. Now, this will be my second time applying and I cannot wait to apply for the Fall 2017 intake! Anyone else interested in Douglas Nursing program Fall 2017 intake? :)
Then why do they even have an open application system if we have no chance of getting in. They might as well hold a wait list instead of wasting our money and time.
Me, meryl and DCnursingstudent had all received an email indicating we wold be entered into the system for free.. honestly I've been told by the administration to apply in every intake while I was taking my courses.. I was told that those who where in the wait list would get preference. The only difference though is that they consider those people but they also have to qualify the past students who where unable to qualify last intake.. and then consider the high GPA students.. then the wait listed. I spent over 100.. I get your pain but we have all gone through this.
Hey,I remember last intake another Douglas student didn't get a reply till like a month and a half after registration. It's only been a month for us and we received emails
I just wanted to add to that. The deadline to pay the $350 deposit for those offered a seat is Nov 9th. Not everyone is going to accept the offer, so I think the admission will send out more offers later. That would fit your description of people receiving offers a month and a half later.
Don't give up. There is still hope for those who didn't get the acceptance e-mail.
Hi! Everyone! Congrats to those you got an offer. :) annd threemarys, did the admission officer reply to your email yet? Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything from her yet. It'd be nice, if they'd tell me/us abour the status of ny application. I'm dying to know! í ½í¸¬ Andd it feels like I've been waiting forever.
Hi all! Thought I would join in on the discussion. I finished my prereqs in Fall 2015. I have been patiently waiting for an acceptance letter and haven't received anything yet... my status also says pending review! I am soo nervous and so worried about where my application stands right now! This is such an annoying process... good luck to everyone! I feel like I have been trying to get into nursing for years now....When I first started at Douglas they had a different intake process and as I was taking classes they changed everything... so I feel like I got screwed over too many times. Just want to be able to get my career started! Hopefully this time... getting super anxious and impatient now.
Hey Leslie!
No nothing yet but I think DCnursing cleared up that if we are going to get offers it will be after the 9th of November as that is the deadline for the people who where accepted. I don't know if all the seats have been filled.. only from the people on this forum who have confirmed.. nothing from other classmates. It's hard to stay positive for sure..

Hey everyone, I finished my pre-nursing in Winter of 2016 (April). I e-mailed Douglas asking where abouts I am in the queue for getting into the program.. I thought I'd share with you the response I got.
"The Registrar's Office has forwarded your email to me to respond to. The Fall 2017 intake for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is full and all offers have been made to applicants who qualified & completed the required courses in the Fall 2015 term or earlier. We have maintained a waitlist of qualified applicants who completed the required courses in Fall 2015.
Fall 2017 Bachelor of Science in Nursing applicants who qualified in Winter 2016 and Summer 2016 have been emailed and notified that the program is full as we have a sufficient waitlist of students qualifying from the earlier Fall 2015 term. Our student records indicate that you completed the required courses in Winter 2016 and therefore, we sent an email on Oct. 29, 2016 notifying you that the program was full."
Hopefully this helps others as well when wondering when you're likely to get into the program.
