Hi everyone, I wanted to start this thread for all the eager Nursing applicants just like myself! :) I have completed my 10 courses in Fall 2015, and have applied once for Winter 2017 but did not get accepted. Now, this will be my second time applying and I cannot wait to apply for the Fall 2017 intake! Anyone else interested in Douglas Nursing program Fall 2017 intake? :)
Hey guys. My application status says the same thing. From talking to staff at the college I found out all decisions for applicants have been made and they will be sending out the remaining acceptance letters within a week or so. Apparently they don't send them all out at one time. From what I have been told... the chances for Fall 2015 students were lower this intake because they still had sooo many people who finished in Summer 2015 who didn't get in for Winter 2017 and ended up re-applying. Because these students got admission first... it looks like the chances are very slim. I myself don't know what to do nowI had high hopes for this intake... it really sucks that the wait is this long. I feel like if we were told this information from the beginning I would have applied to school outside of the lower mainland. It is VERY disappointing for sure. Good luck to those of you who got accepted! Must be super exciting to finally start!
Hi! you are right! We'll probably have higher chances in getting in the January 2018 intake. I might consider applying to BCIT since they will have 3 intakes opening starting January 2018.
I'm so chocked... I'm hoping that what dillybar said about the acceptance letters being released in staggered stages is true about my application. I have emailed Rosemarie a few weeks ago and still have not recieved a response. Yes I was told that I was #35.. I dont understand why I haven't received a response.
Hi leslie_dhy do you know when your friend's deadline to pay is? and did she also finish in fall 2015 or summer 2015?
Hi! We both finished the requirements in fall 2015 and she just got accepted today at 1pm. The deadline for deposit fees is on Dec. 14 as she said. I talked to the registrars, and they said, there are still few seats left for fall 2017..

Hi Threemarys! This is weird. My friend who had been wait listed since winter 2017 just got accepted for Fall 2017. Did you say you were on #30 wait list? because my friend were between 45-50 wait listed and she got an offer for Fall 2017. If I were you, I would talk to the admission officer about your status. My case was I was not wait listed for Winter 2017 but I got a non - accepted status for Winter 2017; however, I e-mailed the admission officer prior to start of Fall 2017 application, and I was offered that my application will be entered by her. I have a feeling that those who had their application status changed to " Initial req. admission complete" were already on a wait list for January 2018.
