Hi everyone, I wanted to start this thread for all the eager Nursing applicants just like myself! :) I have completed my 10 courses in Fall 2015, and have applied once for Winter 2017 but did not get accepted. Now, this will be my second time applying and I cannot wait to apply for the Fall 2017 intake! Anyone else interested in Douglas Nursing program Fall 2017 intake? :)

Same here I completed my courses in fall 2015. Didn't get into 2017 winter but I was on the wait list number 36. Did you receive an email from rosemarie asking if you wanted to get your application entered for Monday? I just want to know if priority is given to people who where up on the wait list.
Hi Threemarys! same here. I also got an e-mail from Rosemarie. She told me not to apply on Monday because my application will be entered by her instead. Did she tell you not to apply on Monday as well? I don't really know where I stand on the waitlist, but I'm hoping we'll have a good chance on this one. Btw, does your Winter 2017 application status still says " Initial admission Review"? or says waitlisted?
Morning! Yup she told me the same thing.. its just that I don't know what my chances will be if she enters my info after the 830 registration time or maybe she's entering them before that time. Last time the system crashed and I was able to get my application in at 9:09. I just wish they rolled over the wait list. The suspense is killing me! Oh and it says "initial req. Com." You can email her and she will tell you :)

Hi Threemarys and Leslie_dhy! I also finished all 10 courses in fall 2015 and applied once for the winter 2017 intake but did not get accepted. I didn't receive an email from Rosemary, does that mean my chances of getting into the Fall 2017 intake are slim? And does application for the Fall 2017 intake start at 8 or 8:30? I'm so tired of waiting, I just want to be in the program already
Hi Basketballgirly,
Honestly Im worried that I won't get in... just because rosemarie enters us into the system she didn't guarantee us a spot. Last time I registered it opened at 8:30, I would get everything ready and set up in your account and just be ready to go as soon as possible. I was lucky to register the first time before the system crashed, but honestly competing with higher Gpa''s could prevent my entry. Augh the stress is killing me.

Hi everyone,
Do you know if they will be looking at the gpa of the 10 courses or our overall gpa?
Thanks.
Hi Threemarys,
I ended up emailing Rosemary but haven't heard back from her yet. And I just applied for Fall 2017! I'm so anxious too, I have a love/hate relationship with suspense. I kept refreshing the page at 8:29 and "fall 2017" didn't show up on my page until 8:32, so I finished around 8:33. I hope we get in!! Let me know if you girls get an email from Rosemary or an email of getting accepted into the program. Best of luck to all of us
Morning!
Wow that the system didn't crash like last time. YES the suspence is killing me as well.. my stomach is in a knot.. don't know if I should cry or be happy. I wish everybody good luck and hopefully we get in for the fall 2017 semester.
Regarding the GPA- when a student enters registration at the same time as another the GPA is then considered, student with the higher GPA is offered a seat. From my knowledge its the GPA of the last 10 courses you've taken. I COULD BE WRONG.. so maybe the best person to ask would be the registers office.
WISH EVERYBODY LUCK!!
Hi everyone! applying is over, annd the waiting game begins.. I asked Rosemarie, and she told me that we should be able to find out if we're accepted or not three weeks from now. Let's hope for the best!

Hey, just wondering how did you find out your waitlist #? Were you emailed? Or did you have to call in?. And as far as GPA goes it's only on the 10 required courses for the program. I am also applying from the Fall 2015 semester.
Hi Nursingkid08! You can email Rosemarie, the admission officer, regarding your waitlist position. She responds more quickly over e-mail than calling her. Although, you could still call the registrar's and they will transfer you to her voicemail. :)
