Douglas College Fall 2017 Nursing applicants

Hi everyone, I wanted to start this thread for all the eager Nursing applicants just like myself! :) I have completed my 10 courses in Fall 2015, and have applied once for Winter 2017 but did not get accepted. Now, this will be my second time applying and I cannot wait to apply for the Fall 2017 intake! Anyone else interested in Douglas Nursing program Fall 2017 intake? :)

Hi basketballgirly! Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything from Rosemarie yet.. my application is still pending, -and I'm getting impatient now. But some of my friends got non-accepted status last friday.. So, Hopefully, there will be some progress this week. Otherwise, I would have to bug them by the end of this week. This is the longest that i have ever waited so far! í ½í¸¬ Let me know you guys have heard anything regarding your application status í ½í¸¬

Leslie_dhy I guess that's the only positive thing we've got going on for us but omg I thought thy said by the end of October they would let us know ... like are we going to be waitlisted? Are we in? I don't even know. I'm so impatient. Of course we'll keep each other updated!

Hi Threemarys! What?!! Really?! Did she reply to you today? Coz, I emailed her last thursday and till now she hasnt replied yet? í ½í¸¬ Ooh.. was wondering, how's ur application like? Still waiting for the result too? Annnd, thank you so much for letting us know! That is probably why we haven't heard anything from our application yet í ½í¸¬

I emailed her today.. got an automatic message saying that she's on holiday since saturday oct 29 to Monday Nov 7. My application still says required admin completed. Let's stay positive.. we haven't got a letter for non acceptance or for waitlist. She's probably not going to start emailing back till she comes back. I remember last intake another Douglas student didn't get a reply till like a month and a half after registration. It's only been a month for us and we received emails... she has to filter in the students who applied on Oct 3 too.. even if I'm on the tail end.. I'll be happy.

Here is the message:

Thank you for your email. I will be away from the College from Saturday, October 29th and returning on Monday, November 7th, 2016. I will respond to your emails in date order upon my return.

Please Note: All Fall 201730 Nursing application emails - The Fall 2017 Nursing Program is now full. Applications to the Winter 2018 intake will open on the first business day of February 2017 at the Education Planner BC website - Douglas College - EducationPlannerBC .

Unfortunately, I am unable to respond to individual inquiries regarding the status of your application given the high volume of applications we received. Thank you for your patience throughout the application process.

I think this is a broad message and she's got the people she has to contact.. the home page for the nursing program also indicated back in the first week of october that the program was full sof yeah don't take that to heart.

I got a non-accepted response on Friday, but I think it's looking up for those of you from fall 2015 that are still waiting for a response. I really hope you guys get some positive news soon!!

Nope, I finished them in summer 2016, so the non-acceptance was no surprise

I'm predicting that I could have a chance of getting in for Fall 2018 intake, am I right?

Yup at least 2 more intake's :( the waiting time to take a four year course is 6 years with the waiting period.. crazy!

There's a chance that you would get into the winter 2018 intake though! Winter 2017 favored those who finished their pre reqs in summer 2015.

Yea I also got a non acceptance response a few days ago. I finished my pre reqs in winter 2016. I really wished Douglas would have more seats for nursing students. I hope for winter 2018 then! Good luck to the rest of you girls ;)
