  1. I'm not too sure what Langara's waitlist situation is like, but I did my courses at Douglas and there were a few people from Langara who had come to register in Douglas's courses as they couldn't get in, so maybe someone could confirm that. I did my courses at Douglas where it can be a nightmare to get into the A&P courses...
  2. I can't believe I got an acceptance as well considering I thought my gpa was too low, congrats to everyone! Looking forward to meeting everyone in the fall and for those who are still waiting, don't give up hope yet!
  3. Hey guys :) I'm guessing there's still many applications to go through as I finished in summer 2016 with a 3.7 gpa but my application is still incomplete. I hope to have a chance in fall 2018 but who knows...
  4. Hey Tina, I also applied with the same gpa!
  5. Thank you Which program would be your first choice?
  6. I completed the pre-reqs for the Douglas nursing program, but since it's going to take a while to get in, I am applying to other nursing schools around BC
  7. Hi there! For VIU, the website lists "Please note that the average GPA of students accepted is an "A" to "A+", based on the 4 prerequisites required for admission to the Program." For Camosun, the average GPA last year was a 7.0 out of 9.0, so you are right in that range. I'm not sure about any of the colleges in Northern BC...does anybody know the average GPA needed to get in?
  8. Hi! As grades are the only factor for admission at Langara, volunteer/work experience does not have any impact.
  9. I agree with jyyw, with looking at Langara as an option! I'm in the process of applying to nursing schools and am hoping to get accepted, despite not having a ton of work experience, or the highest GPA, let alone a bachelor's...
  10. Nope, I finished them in summer 2016, so the non-acceptance was no surprise I'm predicting that I could have a chance of getting in for Fall 2018 intake, am I right?
  11. I got a non-accepted response on Friday, but I think it's looking up for those of you from fall 2015 that are still waiting for a response. I really hope you guys get some positive news soon!!
  12. Where did you do the bios? :)
  13. Ohh, I was looking off of the BCIT site where they showed the equivalencies: http://www.bcit.ca/files/admission/pdf/bsn_course_equivalencies.pdf
  14. Hey :) For BCIT, isn't the english equivalent ENG 1130 at Douglas?
  15. Hey, for Vcc did you apply with your Douglas bios? I looked at the BC transfer guide to see if they are equivalent to Vcc's bio prereqs, but I wasn't sure...
