  1. Hi J.gill, Oh I see. A lot of people I knew ended up being on the waitlist for the bio's at KPU with one being 30th on the waitlist. :/ That's good how you got in though and you're finished! I won't be applying till the next fall intake in 2018, I still have a few more courses to go.
  2. Ohh I see, thanks so much for the tip! I just got an email about the Fall 2017 intake upcoming registration date. Ah, wish me luck & best of luck on your path to nursing! :)
  3. Also, nico2016 - did you apply to BCIT in order to get into their A&P 1200 course or did u just subscribe and they send you an email saying there's a seat available?
  4. Hi nico2016, Thanks for the comment. Yes! I've heard of the BCIT one. I have a classmate that's in it right now but she subscribed to their intake over a year ago and she got in a month ago. I just subscribed a few months ago so I most likely wouldn't get in till next year, but hopefully I'll get in eventually! Thanks for the tip! I really hope to get in to that!
  5. Hi J.gill, Thanks for the comment. Oh really? The only ones that I know that are teaching A&P At KPU right now are Nick, Douglas & Amy - none of which are teaching pathophysiology later on. I mean they probably all talk with each other about how to teach the curriculum but Joyce & Shawn seem to be teaching pathophysiology. I don't think I'll be able to get in at the TWU since I'm not religious. But thanks for the tips! It definitely has broaden my views on how challenging the course may be.
  6. Hi Scylent, Thanks for the comment. Ohh I see. I have heard this one classmate of mine who was in the Foundations in Health Studies and was still waitlisted for A&P I but now she's taking it at BCIT. Another got in, but she had been taken courses prior to getting in and her GPA was quite high at the time. I have also heard that at VCC, their A&P uses the A&P Colouring Book that accounts for 10% of their grade. Hm..I guess I can cross out Langara then. I think my options are (along with commuting) would be Douglas and/or Kwantlen.
  7. Hi cmb16, Thanks for the comment. Yeah I've heard the same thing from others who've taken it there that as long as you're in their Academic Foundations for Potential Nursing/Psych Nursing that you'll get priority as it's first come first serve. I think I'll just apply everywhere and if not, I'll just have to take it at KPU and do the best that I can. But I do hear, Langara & Douglas have better teachers as their curriculum for A&P is slightly easier than KPU's.
  8. Hi Raven1994, Oh no, I'm intending on applying for the Nursing program at KPU no matter how long it takes as it's the closer commute for me. It's just I want to widen my options when it comes to taking the last 2 courses (A&P I & II) I need before declaring into their Bachelor of Nursing program (3 years instead of 4). I'm wondering to anyone who has taken A&P at different post-secondary institutions if they were waitlisted getting into A&P I or were they able to get a seat right away? Sorry for the confusion!
  9. Hello everyone, This is my first post and please feel free to move it to another topic if I may have accidentally put it in the wrong one. I am from Vancouver, BC Canada and I'm wondering (to anyone who's a fellow Vancouverite) to which post-secondary institution can I get into taking my A&P 1 course. I'm currently at KPU right now (in their health foundations program) and they have a reputation of being more hard when it comes to their biology but I'm thinking of taking their A&P 1 as a last resort there. I was also thinking of Langara's A&P 1 since it is transferable over to KPU's, but what's the chance of me actually getting into the course. I'm planning to apply through their Foundations in Health Studies so would that make me priority of getting a seat? Don't comment anything on Douglas - I spoke to their registrar's office and they treat you like you're completely clueless & utter garbage, when I was just politely asking for more information. Not planning to take it there with that kind of attitude they gave me. Let me know your thoughts! Much appreciated
