Okay, so i took the NCLEX today and have no clue what to think of it. Alot of people say that they passed with 75 questions, but I doubt that I did. I finished with 75 questions in 2 hours!!! The questions I got were alot of priority, what room would u put the pt in, effective teaching and some that I cant even explain!!! Oh, I also got two of the alternative type questions, 4 select all that apply and one med math. What do you guys think?? How can u tell if you failed?? Are the "easy" questions easy to differentiate?? Is med math a good sign????

You can tell you've passed when you're told "you pass" when you call in or check website!
Stop freaking out, girl....everything you described does sound like alot of other testers....the huge majority of whom have come back to say they passed! Remember the odds: 81.something% of all first time test takers PASS. I'm betting on you :)

I was also the same way - the majority of my test was prioritizing, delegation, infection control and my test shut off at 75. I got no select all that apply nor any of the rumored 'fill in the blank'. I didn't even get any of the pictures where you click on a body area in regards to the question.
I have no clue how I did. I solidly knew only about 12 questions and the rest it came down to 2 choices and I just tried to use my knowlege to the best of my ability to pick the best answer. I'll find out Saturday how I did - hopefully BEFORE the Pearson-Vue site goes down!

Wow sounds like my test..except I got no math at all and 5-6 select all that apply. I got priority, delegation, infection control, teaching, and some meds...i don't know how i did either!!! Guess we'll all find out Saturday..though im scared to look up my results...
I'm sure we did great!!! I've got faith in us. (well at least you, lol) :balloons:
I hope we all did well. There is nothing for us to do but just wait. LPRN2006: how many questions did u do unitl it shut off??? I really hate waiting. I might even have to wait til next week because I know my transcripts have not been sent.
Mine also shut off at 75 questions!!! But i feel like i didn't do too well... I don't know..I have mixed feelings about it..

Two of my friends took the Nclex on Monday (LA) and they paid 7.95 on Pearson website to get the unofficial results on Wed. morning. They both passed and they sound like their test was much the same as you guys. A lot of delegation, prioritizing, and a couple of med questions and a few all that apply. So I am sure you all did PASS! Please keep me in your prayers. I test in 3 weeks, and I am just beginning to study and working 12 hr shifts...so it is not easy as you all know...
Thanks for any recommendations you may have

To lilrednurse.
Took RN NCLEX on Monday. Made myself sick, convinced of failure, despite 9 nursing school awards, including honors, and full scholarship. I felt inept and ill prepared. Exactly 48 hrs to the min. got the word I passed. Took 130 questions and all of the last 40 were priority and delegation of task. No med calcs. No pictures. No fill in the blanks just question after question of what would you do, who would you see and who would you assign. Believe in yourself and the education you have received. When I take my NP in the future I will have more faith in myself and my God.

hello from virgina,usa
took my nclex rn test last monday and got my results tuesday at 10 am. i passed with 75 questions of delegation, prioritization, select all that apply and those rooming-in questions. when i got out, i was not sure i passed, but i was just glad to have that over with (my thing was ... as long as i walked out of that testroom in one piece, i was okay) ... and the real essence to all this i guess is the fact that they just want to make sure that you will be a safe nurse when they let you out to the real world. i can say that now, four days after the test ... last week, i actually felt like mush .... but i'm fine now ... and to all those who are going to take it :... believe in yourself ... so many have done it, so will you ... pray a lot and keep those positive thoughts going ... all that plus tons of studying ... persevere, it will be worth it in the end ... to all those who took it already : as long as you know you did your very best, then, you are fine ... relax ... frankly, there's nothing much you can do but hope for the best ... but be rest assured that we all felt we did terrible when we walked out of that room, but then ... we passed and well, i guess, we did great afterall. and so did you ... you'll see ...
good luck and Godbless.

This is what makes me a wreck, from question 75 to 101 I had the least amount of priority questions. I wish I could stop analyzing this test and stop feeling like such a failure!
