What does the NCLEX or state board send to the nursing schools to let them know who or how many passed or failed?

Good question! I know that schools can find out their students' pass rates, strengths and weaknesses on the NCLEX, but I don't know if they find out anything about individual students.

The school finds out how many of their graduates took the NCLEX, and how many passed or failed. I do not think they learn the names of which are which. Here are published pass/fail rates and stats of nursing programs in California.

I know that on the Minnesota Board of Nursing , ANYONE can search by name and it will list licenses held by that particular individual. And by checking the website the next am,...it will list if you passed (after entering your password etc)...so no need to pay for quick results. I knew in less than 24 hours.

Used to be that the Dean of the Program used to call and give you the news that you passed or failed......

At my school, the DON knows who passed or failed..Like she knew that one student graduated in 1989 and took it last year..So she knows the names of people..
