Does people pass a 75 more than they fail?

Published

Is the percentage of people that pass at 75 higher than people that fail at 75? or on the other hand, is the percentage of people that pass at 200+ higher than people that fail at 200+?

Maybe each question is weighted differently. My first question was kinda difficult, and it kept getting harder but not very much than the first question, but it wasn't an easy test. I am bracing for the worst.

i dont think having english as your second language would be a hindrance in passing the nclex-rn exam. i did not have a problem at all when i took my exam and i passed! its just a matter of how determined are you and prepared for it. nothing is impossible if you work hard on it and more importantly have faith in GOD!:saint:

I think where ESL test takers run into a problem is when they do not have a firm grasp on the language. If their interpretation of what the question is asking is wrong d/t an incorrect verb congegation or misunderstanding of word usage, then it does not matter how indepth nursing knowledge runs. At the same time, a test taker who is a native English speaker could have the very same problem...

If one is a graduate of a US school, then there chances of passing the first time is 85%, if they are trained in another country, then the results are usually about a 45-48% passing the first time and this usually has to do with English not being the primary language. There are many nuances in the language that can be tricky to others, though they are simple to us.

Next thing to clear up is how this exam is graded or scored, but not in the true sense of the word since it is a CAT exam. That means that questions are given to you based on how you answered the previous question, and why it does not matter the state that you test for or the locale. You will be getting the same questions at that time.

All that write the exam get 50% correct and 50% incorrect. The way that they determine if you pass or not is the level where you are getting the majority of your correct answers at. There is more to it, but this sums it up quite easy in a nutshell.

Best of luck to all of you that are waiting for results.

Then that means if I was done at 75-15=60, then I have to have 30 correct answers and withing the 30, there has to be a higher number of high level questions correctlu answered in order to pass, and my odds ar at 85 angainst 15 since I am a US graduated RN.

i just took the nclex wed and i had 75 question. well that was my second time taking it. the first time i had 265 questions. i dont know what to think if i passed or failed it this time?
