Is the percentage of people that pass at 75 higher than people that fail at 75? or on the other hand, is the percentage of people that pass at 200+ higher than people that fail at 200+?

From what I have read, absolutely the percentage of people that pass with 75 is higher but I have not seen anything to indicate there is any pattern for other numbers of questions. Here is a decent size poll. Good luck.

Do you think that coming out thinking that you failed and that the test was hard, and you had 75 questions is a good sign?

I just took it today and it shut off at 75. I have a hard time thinking that I knew so little that I failed in 75 but it did seem really hard. I had so many select all that apply questions.
I read about a lot of people coming out thinking that it was hard but statistics show that no matter what number you got most people do pass, about 85% I think. When I got the minimum number I was very sure that I had passed but I test very good so I really wasn't worried going in to it.
Is English your second language? I know that can make it more difficult.

I passed on 75 and I was sure I failed! Looking back, though, I had such a hard time because my level of difficulty was harder! My advice is to just read each question carefully and take your time. I was told to try to guess what the answer might be before looking at your choices, but this never worked when I was taking the test. For me, I would eliminate two answers immediately, then really think about the remaining two before making a decision.

English is my second language, but I don't think I struggled with that, it was the level of difficulty of the questions, I thought the test was hard.

Just out of curiosity, what do you mean your level of difficulty was harder?
I found the questions to be hard, I don't think this was an easy test, not even the Math questions
Every question in the test bank of the NCLEX has a certain level of difficulty. Pass or fail is determined by whatever level of difficulty you are at when you are getting 50% right and 50% wrong. Since I passed, the level of difficulty I had was at the appropriate level.
From what I understand, that explanation is not exactly accurate... Yes, the questions increase in difficulty (meaning they begin as straight recall and advance up to priority, etc as the tester selects correct answers) but as the level of difficulty increases, it is standard for all test takers. Correct me if I am wrong, but it would be extremely unfair to pass (or fail) someone at lower level of difficulty just because they at that point achieved a 50%... I am pretty sure you must select a certain percentage of correct answers when answering the questions with the highest level of difficulty, so (just to nit pick) the level of difficulty you passed at would be the exact same as someone who passed at 265, it just took them longer to achieve a passing percentage.
