Groan? No. Puke? Yes. Another bandaid. Lets not address the problems facing nursing, that's too hard. Instead, lets play silly word and mind games with our nurses, and spend a $30000 grant while we are at it. No wonder so many people classify nursing research as "fluff."
Just curious. Is giving up your brain, as well as all memories of what staff nursing was like a prerequisite to becoming a PhD nurse researcher?

OH barf. They should have taken the 30K and gave the nurses a big party with lots of food and drink, so the nurses could forget about the BS at work and really be happy (for a little while anyway). Would've been money better spent imo.
I would've shot my computer too except for the fact that as a nurse, I don't make enough money to buy a new one and then I'd really miss you guys!
I agree with all of you....it is fluff....unrealistic...demeaning. Another example of a book learning nurse who hasn't seen blood or puke, or been inappropriately put down by a doctor in years!
I remember a staff meeting in the early 80s....administration talked about DRGs...and renamed the Director of Nursing the Vice President......my gut told me things would go to hell....and as many of you can attest, it has come to pass.

What I read about in that article made me want to heave my tasty George Foreman-grilled hamburger I just ate for dinner...
