There's an official "Doctor's Day"? I thought every day was Doctor's Day! :rotfl:

Hmmmm - I'm thinking certificates to restaurants are always appreciated. My docs are very respectful and appreciative of me and my role; I'd be interested in hearing other suggestions as well :).

There is a website called giftcertificates.com. You can choose a giftcard yourself or order a super certificate and the recipient chooses his/her gift card. I have given and received super certificates and everyone loves them!

How about a nifty tote bag and a certificate for lunch in the cafeteria? No wait, that's for nurses day. :angryfire

I have been fortunate enough to work with awesome docs, (surgeons) too. They always remember nurses' week in much classier ways than nursing management ever does.
Does your doc play golf? I know my husband is a golf fanatic, and is always pleased to get a certificate for a lesson with a pro, 18 holes at a new course, or even some new balls, since he is always losing them. A nifty device called a golf shagger is cool, too.
Darla, where are you in TN? I did some IV teaching in Knoxville--fell in love with TN and the Great Smoky Mountains and the bluegrass (and let's not forget the food, oh my gosh..!!! There I had my first Krispy Kreme donut ever, and my first cheese spread sandwich, and my first glass of sweet tea and red velvet cake...) Hope to make it back one day soon for a travel assignment!

One of our other branches is doing gourmet coffee coupon.
Our Physician Liason will had these out at several hospitals and some Docs offices.
