Do you think patients should have the right to use medical marijuana?

Public policy by extreme example is almost always poor policy.Somebody refractory to all anti-emetics will almost always be on IV therapy in any case. That creates a different set of therapies and a different set of possible solutions.

What extreme example did I give?? There are plenty of those types of patients. It's not very uncommon.
And it's far from practical to keep all these patients on an inpatient unit, or on homecare with IV therapy, for the duration of their illness.

I didn't ask for any advice here, nor will i take any here.
I just do not see the need of ingesting/inhaling an illegal substance in my body that is not medically necessary.
And i can't agree that the pill form would be just as effective as smoking it (what if someone's capacity to swallow is compromised?). I kind of wonder how Grampa's last months would have been if he'd had either form to try.
If someone's capacity to swallow is compromised, what is the point of 'stimulating appetite' with pot?~faith,

It's not only used for stimulation of appetite.
It was suggested about 14 years ago to Grampa that it might ease the nausea he expereinced with chemo (he still had an appetite even with the nausea). He never tried it though.
I think that it should be decrimilized. The government should tax to generate more revenue for our country.
I live in California and we passed a law a few years ago that allows it for medical use. I think that it is a great idea. The only problem I have with it is that it allows for marijuana stores (where you get you perscription filled). I feel that if a doctor orders marijuana for a medical reason you should have to get it filled at a pharmacy like any other med.

Of course, the Supreme Cabal ruled that law UnConstitutional as the Federal Gov't outlaws pot, not the State of California.
And the Federal Gov't has Supremacy in such matters. Or, so says the Supreme Cabal.
Any Doctor 'prescribing' MJ can lose their DEA number.
