During the last 2 years of his life, my son-in-law struggled to gain weight. He had end stage Cystic Fibrosis and could not keep his weight up despite tube feedings etc. His doctors finally prescribed marrinol for him and it did help. Weight was a very important issue for him since he was awaiting a lung transplant and wouldn't be eligible if he kept losing weight. Unfortunately, he died the same week he was to be put on the list for transplant. We miss him so very much!

:cry: So sorry for your loss.

Let us burn one, from end to end.

And pass is over to me my friend.

Burn it long, but burn it slow,

to light me up before I go.

If you dont like my fire, then dont come around.

Cause I'm gonna burn one down.

Yes I'm gonna burn one down

My choice is what i chose to do;

and if I'm causin no harm,

it shouldn't bother you.

Your choice is who you chose to be;

and if your causin to harm, then your alright with me.

If you dont like my fire, then dont come around, cause I'm gona burn one down.

Yes i'm gonna burn one, down.

Herb the gift, from the Earth,

and what's from the earth is of the greatest worth.

So before u knock it, try it first.

and you'll see it's a blessing and it's not a curse.

If you dont like my fire, then dont come around,

cause i'm gonna burn one down.

Yes i'm gonna burn one.

oh yeah

would we now have to add smoking rooms to hospitals? would the medicinal marijuana come up differently on a tox screen than street stuff? and whats to prevent a little baby from seeing and then trying ciggs when its older?

I am a Hospice Director, and we have been successfully using methadone for pain management, especially cancer pain, like patrickmonkrn. Marinol is useless in mho, and marijuana is such an easy successful treatment for nausea/vomiting, appetite stimulant, and other symptoms. When will our government realize the benefits of this natural plant with such awesome healing/treatment properties? :icon_roll

marijuana can be ingested as well as smoked, so there are many ways it could be administered to patients. I know someone who has a Medical Use Card, they cook up a crockpot of butter with the stems, and use the butter to cook with, hence, they get their marijuana, and don't have to light up. Maybe if we served some marijuana cookies or brownies to the legislators they would reconsider it's use. Just a thought. ;-)

Yes. Absolutely. :smokin:

Well yes, strictly for medical purpose. To control pain and nausea, if it helps then it should be good. When all methods and medication fails, if smoking pot relieves undesirable symptoms then they should legalized it. i would prefer if it can be fashion as a slow release tablet/capsules. :D
