Yes.
You need to know this for everyday life as well.
Relax and don't stress yourself out this early in the game. Enjoy self study at your leisure, but don't overdo it - and take time for yourself.

You should probably know most of this as a life skill already.... but if you don't, yes you will need to be able to comfortably convert minutes to hours and back for your drug calculations. Also you will need to become familiar with the 24 hour clock.
ETA: lol, we posted at nearly the same time

The only one I couldn't think of a practical application was how many seconds in a day, but one needs to have the same kinds of skills that it takes to get that answer but for other purposes (several stage basic math calculations).
Omg, I fail at life then.

Knowing conversions will for sure be a part of your nursing career. Don't worry about seconds in a day though... haha
I regularly use the others to see how much an hourly salary converts to in a yearly salary fashion ;-)

Cerda, stop stressing yourself out! You are only 16 and you have many years to learn about all the subjects you've been asking about. I admire your initiative, but be careful about trying to do too many things at once (i.e. study pharmacology, advanced math, etc) - it will cause burnout. You are being too hard on yourself - I'm sure you'll be a great nursing student when the time comes.

Cerda, relax honey...
enjoy your youth....this is important stuff, but it comes with time...just learn...and don't go bananas over it...okay?
I know, I am getting to stressed over this but I want to do it now, so I won't have to deal with it later. This stuff is actually really hard!!! I am doing it little by little though, every day.
I'm going to be honest...a lot of this stuff you are trying to "study in advance" won't make sense until you get it explained to you when you take that specific course. There's a point when things become overkill and all you're doing is overtaxing yourself - it's good to plan ahead, but you're putting the cart before the horse at the level that you are trying to teach yourself Pharmacology and other courses.
It's fine and good to start dipping into the material ahead of time, but you need to also focus on the present and succeed there. And again, relax...stop beating yourself up over things. You have identified problem areas, so the BEST thing you can do is talk to a counselor or tutor and develop strategies to overcome your issues in learning.

how many months are there in a year-12

Cerda, you need to understand that everything you are learning at the moment (in high school) is building a foundation for what you will learn in college. If you skip over focusing on the foundation, the entire thing will crash down eventually. It is really not beneficial to you to try and learn college level information, when you still need to learn and understand high school level information. It does you no good and is only stressing you out more.
I understand you want to start now, but what purpose does it serve? Without a biology foundation, how can you truly understand Anatomy & Physiology? Without understanding how the body works, how can you truly understand Pharmacology? Pharmacology isn't just memorization. You'll have to understand how the body works and how those drugs interact with the body. At my school, you can't take Pharmacology until you are finished with Anatomy & Physiology.
There is a reason you have to take certain classes before others and skipping ahead can actually make you more confused and may hurt you in the end.
You should really focus on learning and understanding the classes you are in right now, in high school. Setting a strong foundation will set you up for success in college.
I admire your initiative, but in all honesty, it seems you are setting yourself up for disaster. You need to focus on what you are learning at the moment because what you learn today in high school will help you learn things in college. The college information is hard because you aren't ready for it. High school is preparing you for it.
And I've noticed you like to say you will "fail at life" if you can't do certain things. Maybe nursing isn't for you. Not saying it isn't but the point I want to make is that if it isn't that doesn't make you "fail at life." There are certain things I can't do, that doesn't mean I fail at life. Each person has unique abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. That's what makes each person great. Just because you aren't good in a particular area does NOT make you a failure.
Just my I don't want to see you get stressed out. I want to see you succeed and I think the best way to do that is to focus on your high school material and seek help when needed.
