I had a meeting w/ one of the schools I was accepted to and they went over all I had to buy, but never said I needed a stethoscope. I was kind of looking forward to buying one!
Do nursing programs normally provide them to students?

All the schools I know of have students buy their own. I would definitely go with a Littmann and label it with your name (get one of those attachable name tags). I have a Littman III Cardiology one and it's excellent for listening for adults and pediatric patients (two sided bell). Don't get a cheap one because you'll miss out on hearing the nuances. Congrats on getting accepted!

I would buy your own. Even if the school buys one for you it's most likely going to be a cheap one you can't hear anything out of.
