Discouraged

I applied to a LPN program and I got a letter on Friday. I was put on a wait list. Has anyone else been waitlisted and got into the program? It seems like I have been waiting for the letter forever, and I am so discouraged. Thanks for listening.

I was also put on a waiting list here in Kansas. I was notified 2 weeks before school started that someone had dropped and they could take me. YIKES!!! Hang in there. I am 4 weeks away from my LPN graduation.

I'm #66 on the alternate list for the fall semester for one of the programs I applied to. Seems like an astronimical number, but when I got the letter I was jumpping up and down with joy. My parents didn't quite get it.

I figure an alternate is a heck of a lot better than a rejection letter. Also, the program I applied to takes 60 from the wait list and puts them in spring semster, so only 6 people need to decline acceptances from either Spring or Fall semester for me to get in for Spring.

I'm on the waiting list for UIC. A lot of people told me it is much better than getting rejected. I figure if I don't get in for Fall 07 then I have a good chance of getting in next year. Good luck!

One of my favorite friends from school was waitlisted and called a week before the program started so don't give up hope!

Thanks everyone for all your support! I feel more hopeful now. I am going to call the college tomorrow and see where I am on the wait list. I'm just not sure if they will give me that information. Wish me luck!
