I know there's been a lot of resistance to this, but I think it's absolutely fantastic. And for those who are saying "They're forcing medical treatment", that's not true. This is just saying that if your child is going to go to public school, they can't put other kids at risk. If you're that determined not to vaccinate your children, you can keep them home from school and they can still do independent study.

I am over the moon about this. To me this is a no brainier - vaccines WORK, and they should be required for the good of all.

It just boggles my mind how there are so many against vaccines - and they are so vocal and extremely resistant to arguments contrary to their beliefs, even if said arguments are firmly backed by scientific evidence.

Ugh, lots of families on Facebook are saying "the government has decided that they have to make medical decisions for kids because there's a conspiracy against parents of special needs kids. Once they have enough families who resist state-Mandated health care, they'll have CPS remove all of them for medical neglect, since the gov't gets tons of money for every special needs kid they "steal."

So, basically, mandatory vax=government-sanctioned kid trafficking, all to increase the state's bottom line. My head hurts.

I decided to take a Facebook holiday and spend the weekend watching movies with my kids.

Under SB 277, the exemption for personal beliefs is eliminated – both philosophical and religious – for children in child care and public and private schools.

  • A student who qualifies for an individualized education program would not be prohibited from accessing any special education and related services required by that program."

My reply is not likely going to be very popular. It may be completely ignored and dismissed as nonsense by those not willing to look into the opposing viewpoint. Or, my post may incite, though it is not intended to do so. Nevertheless, I am writing to share another perspective ... one that you won't hear in the mainstream media.

Whatever the case, I hope those who do take the time to read this will do so with an open mind. Please, use your critical thinking skills and good old-fashioned common sense. And, please verify everything I share here. Do you own research!

So, with that said, I find the passing of the California law extremely disturbing at best and wholeheartedly sinister at worst. Why?

Leaving vaccines out of the equation for a moment, it seems that everyone should be disturbed by the government mandating any kind of medical procedure upon its citizens. Whether one is for or against vaccines, I think we can all agree that any medical procedure carries at least some risk. So, if the government forces vaccines upon its citizens, who will be liable when something goes wrong? As nurses, we know that every vaccine vial insert comes with a long list of potential side effects (some of which can be life threatening). And, speaking of labels, a number of ingredients in a variety of vaccines are toxic, such as mercury and aluminum. Similar to the disguising of high-fructose corn syrup on food labels as simply fructose,” vaccine manufacturers disguise mercury as thimerosal.”

If the government can force vaccines, what else can it force upon its people? Where will government intervention end? While this seem may like a radical example, what if the government, for whatever reason, decided to mandate that all people take orificenic or mercury? Did you know that, historically, orificenic and mercury were once first-line drugs used in allopathic medicine? In fact, President George Washington, who had the world's best physicians at the time, died of mercury poisoning. Today, the prescription of orificenic or mercury would be considered barbaric (yet mercury is in many vaccines).

The point is that evidence, scientific or otherwise, changes; also, it can and often is manipulated and controlled by the powers that be. For example, nutrition advice and evidence are constantly flip-flopping. At one time margarine was recommended over butter; today, the reverse is true. Similarly, ancient astronomers and the world's greatest scholarly minds once believed the Earth was flat.

We are constantly barraged with misinformation that serves a financial purpose for powerful interests, industries, and lobbying groups. (Does milk really help to prevent osteoporosis or does it actually contribute to it? Does sunscreen really help to prevent skin cancer or do the toxic chemicals it contains contribute to it? This list could go on and on ….)

Did you know that as a result of years of lobbying and political influence, pharmaceutical companies cannot be sued for vaccine injuries? This liability shield has even been reported in the mainstream media. Yet, the VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) database is full of records and the VICP (Vaccine Injury Compensation Program) has paid out billions of dollars to families whose loved ones were harmed. And from where does this money come? Taxpayers. Families who pursue compensation and are awarded damages are paid by VICP, which is funded by taxpayers. Furthermore, the government has recently removed some VICP statistics from public view.

Despite the complete indoctrination physicians and nurses receive in their education, training, and workplace regarding vaccines, a growing number of them (including pediatricians) are shunning vaccines and actively speaking out against them. Why would this be? There is certainly no money in fighting the trillion-dollar Big Pharma industry. Fighting the pharmaceutical companies is an uphill battle at best. No big-money funding exists on the antivaccine side. Yet, it is a growing, fervent movement of physicians, nurses, parents, pharmacists, etc. who have done their own independent research and have decided that vaccines are dangerous, ineffective, or both. The International Medical Council on Vaccination and Nurses Against Mandatory Vaccines are two of several organizations comprised of healthcare professionals who are speaking out against vaccines. Please, ask yourself why a physician or nurse would go against everything they have been taught to support such a cause when there's no money in it for them? Some even risk their licenses.

Having studied vaccines for decades, I could go on and on and on about specifics regarding why they may be dangerous, ineffective, or both. Instead, I'll share some resources that provide such information in a much more engaging and eloquent way.

Basically the Child with an IEP who will attend public school must be vaccinated - if they are home schooled due to no vaccine the school district in which they reside would provide any special services in the home. Bottom line if you want your child in a public school in CA you must get them vaccinated.

In years past, before the Jenny McCarthy lies, there was never a question about getting your children vaccinated. No one gave it a second though. You could not enroll your children if they were not fully vaccinated.

I am sorry that you are buying into the nonsense, anti vaccine quacks, but vaccines save lives, and ALL children must be fully vaccinated before attending school. You are free to home school your children if you do not want to vaccinate.

Tell me, have YOU been vaccinated? Are your pets vaccinated against Rabies, Bordatella, and Distemper? I am sure that you have. You cannot have a pet that has not been vaccinated againt Rabies, you cannot board your pet in a kennel, or take them to doggy day care, unless that have been vaccinated,

You can have a tantrum, get your big girl panties in a wad, and the kennel will not let them in if they have not been vaccinated.

And God for bid, you have a pet that is un-vaccinated, and they bite someone especially if it is a child.

Please re think your anti vaccine agenda for the common good.

It is amazing the amount of misinformation that can be put into one post.

2. Mercury/thimerosal has been almost completely removed from all vaccines with the exception of mulit-use flu vaccines since 2001. Thimerosal in vaccines has never been linked to any adverse events especially mercury poisoning. 3. The United States has had mandatory vaccine laws since the early 1800s. Vaccine mandates are neither new or unprecedented.

4. Traditional older vaccines are not a large money maker for pharmaceutical companies. 5. I have said this time and time again to all anti-vaccine activists, "Where is any peer-reviewed scientific information to back up any of your claims"? It doesn't exist, and before you even start with it is just a giant conspiracy. You need to stop and consider how ridiculous these conspiracy theories are. All of the Earth's governments, scientists, and medical professionals would have to be in on this giant conspiracy for it to be even plausible.

6. The anti-vaccine persons and websites of note often make money spouting this utter nonsense, and yet people like you want to tout the 1-2% profit margin that pharmaceutical companies make selling vaccines while some of the people you quote make their living spouting anti-vaccine nonsense.

7. https://vaers.hhs.gov/about/faqs The VAERS system allows anyone to report a potential vaccine injury that does not mean they are actually are vaccine injuries. Coincidence does not equal causation. Teams of scientists (not paid by pharmaceutical companies) are constantly going over the VAERs system to see if there are increase incidences of adverse events and looking into every serious and death related report from vaccines.

8. Vaccines are the most researched medications there are. Vaccines undergo more testing in phase 3 trials then any other medication and they are the only medication that constantly undergoes phase 4 testing. There is no other medication that goes through the rigors of testing that vaccines do to be approved or continue to be approved.
