Hi everyone, I am so dissapointed because I failed the NET, not once but twice! I only have one more chance. If I don't pass this time I will not be allowed to take the test again for another year. I passed the math with flying colors, but the reading I failed by 2 points! I do have the NET book, but I must be studying it wrong or something. Now they are saying we will be taking the Hobet instead of the NET. I guess they are no longer using the NET test. Is there a difference? Do you think maybe I'm not smart enough for the nursing field? I really want to become an LPN. Any advice will help. Thanks all! :)
I took the NET on Friday and thought it was a pc of cake.....EXCEPT for the Reading! OMG! I have no idea if I passed that section or not. I didn't get to finish....I filled in the last 6 or so questions blindly at the end.
Did you tgake the paper or computer NET?! Could you go back and review on the reading comp section or not?! I thought we could go back and review before answering questions on the reading part, but now I am confused. Help!! :chuckle
I had the paper version....and yes, you can go back....but they really don't give you enough time to do it for all of the reading, kwim? It's not "easy" reading. It's rather......blah. :chuckle
LOL!! Thanks!! Could they pick subjects that are any more boring?! Why not test us on Grey's Anatomy or something fun?! We could all remember that!! :chuckle
Hey Flash did you get into the program you wanted? I took the net too and got a composit score of 63% i know thats not high but i still applied dead line was day after i took test. Reading blew me away too math I got 88%. Anyways do you know what the lowest net test score someone got and got into the lpn program???
I took the Hesi instead of the net, but I agree, the reading was AWFUL! I got 92% in it, but some of those comprehension questions were so vague it was hard to pick an answer! In the Hesi test you can keep the window open with the reading passage, so you can go back and reread or look for the answer you need. I would imagine if you don't answer a question you most definately get it wrong. Isn't guessing better than not answering on tests?
Hey everyone!![]()
Well 3rd times a charm, or 3rd time you go back to sit on the bench. Me, well, I'm sitting on the bench again. I'm glad everyone could use the web sight that I posted about Henry Ford Community College. It was very helpful but I didn't pass the reading again. (60 % is passing in reading --is that standard??) 92% in math was great though---I'm trying to be positive here! I am just heartbroken. I just am running out of steam. I can try once more in March. I just don't know what else to try with this reading. I have a few questions for anyone who can help:
1) Are you scored only on the percentage you answer correctly? If you don't answer a question, is it counted against you?
2) How do you go back to review??? I could not go back at all. We knew that before we began the test.
Thanks.

I took the NET test about a month ago, and if I hadn't take A&P1 I would not have known what the world they were talking about because some of the things mentioned in there I just learned that sememester, so I was glad that I took the class. I passed with a 64% and we were only required a 50% in each area, so I guess I was lucky, but I thought the math was very easy! GOOD LUCK!

With a score of 64% did you get into the program you wanted?? I ask because I got the same score as you and I am still waiting to find out if I got into the LPN program. Your reply will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
I am not sure about the minimum score. I read it was 50 or higher, but then my school requires a 65. for the associates nursing program. Can some-one give me a lay out on the requirements. Coming from Europe i have a bit trouble understanding all the different requirements. I am just 46 and would like to get a nursing degree asap. Thought I could do the NET without studying since I have a bachelor in Social Work. I thought wrong I got a 51 and failed. Boy, do I feel stupid. But can any-one explain to me what the fastest route would be?
Thanks a lot
