  1. Hi, I failed the NET the first 2 times. I failed the reading portion by 4 points the first time and two points the second time. I got the Net/Hobet book from penn vally comm college. Most comm colleges sale them for $25-28.00. I also know you could get if from MSN.com or Amazon.com. Another web site I studied which is free is testprepreview.com, which is really helpful. I studied both the book and website everyday faithfully until the day of my test. For some reason when I first took the test my inferential reading was as low as 52%, but when I took the time to study faithfully everyday it jumped up to 85% the last time I took the test. Don't get me wrong I studied before I guess just not enough. Also, nerves could have played a roll. So good luck, and study, study, study! :) The book can cost up to $30.00, but you may beable to go on ebay or even this website to see if anyone is selling their used book.
  2. Hi everyone, just wanted to inform you all that I PASSED! lol! I'm so excited! I just studied, studied, and studied some more, and prayed really hard! lol. I really took my time and studied inferential reading and predicting outcomes which is what made me fail the first two times. My scores jumped up considerably in both areas. So I start the LPN program in October. Thanks for all your good advice and help. I really appreciate it.
  3. This is all very encouraging. Before the test I thought I could comprehend reading material very good. lol. I guess I need a little more practice. I'm also looking into finding a tutor for inferential reading, which is the reading portion I failed. Thanks you guys for all your help!
  4. Thanks everyone for all the help. I was so stressed yesterday. lol. But, I guess I just need to study the reading section a little harder and longer. Alot of people at my school had the same difficulty. We all thought we were horrible in math but passed it so easily. However, when it came to the reading portion we were all like 'what is this?' lol. I'm just going to study and pray, study and pray. Thanks again!
  5. Hi everyone, I am so dissapointed because I failed the NET, not once but twice! I only have one more chance. If I don't pass this time I will not be allowed to take the test again for another year. I passed the math with flying colors, but the reading I failed by 2 points! I do have the NET book, but I must be studying it wrong or something. Now they are saying we will be taking the Hobet instead of the NET. I guess they are no longer using the NET test. Is there a difference? Do you think maybe I'm not smart enough for the nursing field? I really want to become an LPN. Any advice will help. Thanks all! :)
