Did any one get acceptance to the CSU East Bay Hayward?

Published

Hi everyone! Did anyone get their acceptance to the Nursing Program at CSU East Bay Hayward? I heard they send e-mail at the end of the March 2009 for the Fall program, if you got accepted, but I did not get anything from them yet.... Does it mean that they rejected me? Thank you in advance.

How were your grades and how did you do on your TEAS? I having to repeat 2 courses because I got a C in one. CHEM! Hate it!!

I think of going to Hayward only because I find it close to my house.Other than that i have no idea, which campus is better.

P.S I have a question, maybe someone can answer it for me please? I got my acceptance to CSUEB, nursing, but still have some classes in progress, and also need to take 2 gen ed classes as well. In condition 2 it says I am not supposed to lower my current GPA, but I think that I will get a B in one of my classes. And I was thinking to take my gen ed classes during the Summer, do you think it is going to affect my conditional status?

Any answers are highly appreciated!

Hi futuredream, I got accepted for Fall 2010 CSUEB BSN program. I have the same question as you had last year. I have not yet received the UNIVERSITY acceptance packet and I have 4 ongoing classes (GE) this semester. After this semester, I would complete the required 60 units to apply in the CSU. Are they just waiting for my transcript this semester before they send me the application packet?? Please advise. I'm worried that my acceptance in the Nursing program will be void if I don't get accepted in time to the University for the coming Fall semester.

Thank you.

Having GE classess in progress not a big deal, but you have to make sure you are accepted to University as well. Go to the Admissions office and talk to them directly. Your acceptance is conditional and if you're not in the school system till June 30(that how it was last year), the may drop you from the program. Do not worry they are very the nursing program staff is very helpful, so they will do whatever possible to help you move on. Good luck, and hope to see you in the Fall!

Hi, I am applying for a Financial aid, and stock with some questions. How many units do you guys have every quarter in Nursing Program at CSU East Bay Hayward? Thank you in advance.

There are many quarters where you will need to find a 1 unit course because the nursing classes only add up to 10 or 11 unit hours and you need 12 for full time. There are some extra classes you may needto take that will help make up the difference but a lot of us scramble to get a 1 unit PE class.

Thanks futuredream. I called admissions and they told me that I'm already provisionally accepted to the university, but they will still need my transcript for this semester ofcourse. The lady told me that my acceptance packet should come in the next few days :).

Congratulations!

I'm currently a Pre-Nursing student whose still working on my pre req and coreq....if you guys don't mind me asking what was your gpa? I recently received a C in Chemistry and I'm really worried. I just hope I didn't screw myself over since now you can't retake a class if you had a C.

AND CONGRATS to all those who got accepted!!!

My pre-req GPA was 3.7, TEAS was 95.3, no foreign language or health care experience.

There is a CSUEB thread on the CA Nursing Programs forum, and a bunch of people who got accepted this year answered your question on there.
