Confused, need your help
I have couple questions, and will greatly appreciate if someone can answer them. I will be graduating soon and planning to leave my state in search for a job ( i'm from California). I am confused about the process of moving, taking my board and applying for a lisence.Do you think I need to take my boards here, in Ca and then move or move, take the boards, and apply for the lisence in that state. Thank you.

How do you find out how much do RN's/New Grads get paid in diffrent hospitals?
thanks for sharing. yes, i agree that money should not be the motivating factor for a job, but after spending 4-5 years in school being jobless from times to times, having 2 kids, and living on financial aid, it's very exciting and thrilling to think about being able to work and be paid finally. sorry, if my post brought up some controversies, but i just wanted to know how to find out about your salary since it is a very touchy topic. thank to everyone again

Cal State East Bay acceptance letters for Fall 2010??
Hi Jennnafezz, I'm finishing my first year of nursing school at CSUEB, and was looking for UD GE class for the Summer. I was thinking about "Oceans" class as well, but think I am not really good at "nature" and geology. You said the class is simple, do you think anyone can handle it or I better take kinesiology? If you took this class already and can share with your experience i would really appreciate it. I am concerned about my GPA and do not want to get any "B" in those classess since the nursing school is hard, and I already got couple "B" s. Thank you in advance

Did any one get acceptance to the CSU East Bay Hayward?
Having GE classess in progress not a big deal, but you have to make sure you are accepted to University as well. Go to the Admissions office and talk to them directly. Your acceptance is conditional and if you're not in the school system till June 30(that how it was last year), the may drop you from the program. Do not worry they are very the nursing program staff is very helpful, so they will do whatever possible to help you move on. Good luck, and hope to see you in the Fall!

Confused, need your help
Hi everyone, I am working on case study with a focus on nutrition, and have to relate it to pt's primary dx. My patient is 96 y.o female was admitted with chief complains of low back pain related to her recent fall. She also exhibited generalized weakness, fatigue and diaphoresis, non pitting edema of LU, and sacrum area graded 2 + .D.A was diagnosed with compression fractures of T12-L4 secondary to osteoporosis. D.A has a history of Congestive heart failure, gout, depression disorder, hypothyroidism and aspiration pneumonia. Labs are within normal values, except BUN and creatinine( both high) Her BMI 27.4, IBW more than 20%.She usually consumes 40-60 % of food. Meds have AE of n/v, anorexia, constipation. Mobility is limited, ambulated to wheelchair. It's obvious she is overweight even though does eat much. But is it because she has edema( fluid retention) or limited activity. I want to say : Imbalanced nutrition : more than body requremennts, but also thinking about :less than body requirements" Could you please help me to understand my diagnosis and correctly intervene. Thank you in advance, i really appreciate it
