Hi everyone! Did anyone get their acceptance to the Nursing Program at CSU East Bay Hayward? I heard they send e-mail at the end of the March 2009 for the Fall program, if you got accepted, but I did not get anything from them yet.... Does it mean that they rejected me? Thank you in advance.

I'm still waiting to hear from them too. I heard they were supposed to mail letters the last week of March, so I've been checking my mailbox. Let me know if/when you hear from them...and good luck!

I too am waiting to hear, I finally could not stand it any longer and called the nursing dept. on the 1st to see if notifications have been sent out. They said "No not yet" and could not give a date when they would be sent, just some time this month (April).
From what I have read in this forum it seems last year rejections were sent via email and acceptance through the mail, I am not sure if that is totally true. I can't stand this waiting. I am checking my email constantly and racing to the mailbox.
I posted on another area trying to find the same info out so its nice to see that there are a few of us waiting for CSUEB.

That's helpful. I've also been waiting to hear from them. A few of my friends also applied and noone has heard anything (except some e-mail a while back saying that we've completed the application correctly..)
Please let us know if/when you hear ANYTHING (rejection or acception) from them!!
Thanks to all of you! At least I know that I'm not alone!
Did anyone else get a letter from some random people saying congrats on getting accepted to their alma mater? Uhhh....
PS-my heart was racing when I got that letter in the mail. Thought it was an acceptance letter! what a let-down! Still haven't heard from them..

You should check with the school to see if this letter was legitimate. Sure is early in the game to be getting stalking type mail. How would any third party know you had applied to the school if they didn't work there? You really should bring this to the attention of the school for safety purposes.
I received a letter a few weeks ago from Cal State inviting me to join their Honors Program, my heart was racing when I opened the letter. Was your letter from Cal State??
I still have not heard anything regarding the nursing program, their web site now states that acceptance letters to be emailed some time in either March or April. I hope they don't wait too much longer, I will post when I find out my status for the program.
Just curious is this your first time applying here, did you apply anywhere else? This is my first time for Cal State (I missed a deadline last year for Cal State), and I am on my fourth try for LMC (the dreaded lottery).
I'm still waiting to hear something...ANYTHING...too. The waiting is killing me. I also applied to City College of SF. Did anyone else apply there? If so, do you know when their lottery is supposed to happen? Maybe it already did?
Thanks to both replies. I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't heard back from their nursing program yet.
Caliotter--It came in an official CSUEB envelope with CSUEB heading paper, so I'm assuming it's known about. My other friend got the same letter. Bizarre.
Momin--Email? Really? Because I heard that only the rejection letters were being sent out by e-mail and that the acceptance letters come in the mail (last year my friend received her acceptance letter via FedEx or UPS or something). Also, this is my first time applying to nursing school at all. CSUEB is not my first choice of schools, but it was the only one I applied for for Fall 2009 entry because I had completed all of the prereqs already. I applied to Samuel Merritt too but since they only have 4-6 spaces available for Fall, i'm not even going to count that! :)
I have to agree with you bluechick, that letter is bizarre, whoever it came from. Good luck to everyone who is waiting.
I just received my email from CSUEB, I got in!!! Best of luck to all of you
