Did your nursing class get a 100% NCLEX Pass Rate?

Published

I'd rather not make a negative nancy thread so I decided to do something a little different. Did your graduating nursing class manage to get a 100% NCLEX Pass rate on the first try?

I graduated in May 2010 in a traditional 4 year BSN program, since our school was separated between the two different clinical sites our class size is rather large. Basically its almost 80 people.

My professors targeted me as the person of concern. It took me almost 6 tries to pass the predictor exam for the nclex. When I told my med surg professor I took my NCLEX in July she was furious to know I took it too early. I managed to pass and she was happy for me. Another one of my friends took the NCLEX in January and passed (I'm not sure why he waited over 6 months).

However I found out one of my friends did not pass on the first try and had to give up a new grad opportunity.

How did your class fare?

Specializes in ICU.

Most of my class has passed, first try, with 75 questions. I've only heard of one so far who did not pass. We had around 100 people in our class, ABSN.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

I attended an LPN-to-RN bridge program that has had low NCLEX first-time pass rates over the past few years, but I was fully aware of this when I decided to attend the school. I graduated last year, and I believe that the NCLEX pass rate for 2010 was about 66 percent. By the way, I passed on my first attempt, although several of my classmates were not fortunate enough to have the same outcome as me.

66 percent is actually an improvement for this school. 2008's first-time pass rate was 56 percent, and 2009's pass rate was 59 percent.

Have no idea how my class fared. There were several who tested early or moved away and we had absorbed people from previous classes who had failed.

2 people in my class haven't taken it yet. But so far everybody has passed. There are 35 people in my class.

We had 100% pass rate on first attempt NCLEX.

Specializes in ER, progressive care.

as far as I know, my graduating class (December 2010) got a 100% pass rate.
