Did anyone apply to UCLA's MECN Program for Fall 2009?

Just wondering if anyone else applied to this program. I went to UCLA for undergrad but I pretty much think I have no shot of getting into this grad program.

Does anyone know anything about how many people they admit? What they are looking for?

Out of curiousity, what are your bachelor GPAs and prereqs?

I'm trying to be optimistic with my BS 2.96 and my prereqs at 3.6 but I kinda think I'm at the bottom of the barrel here. Here's hoping my extracurricular stuff shines for them.

Don't worry I'm hoping for the same thing, I had many deaths in the family during the time of my studies (cause of my background) and so I didn't do as well.

I explained that to Shelli and she told me to apply and explain that in my essay.

I have a lot of volunteer experience and I have 5 years work experience within an allied profession to nursing, so I'm hoping they look at more than gpa's.

I guess that depends on how many people that got accepted decide to go elsewhere.

I just went home to check the mail. Nothing for me. UGH!!! I'm getting really impatient and my anxiety is outa control. I just wanna know at this point and don't really care if I get in. OK, I do, but still. Anyway, I'm really sorry for those of you who didn't get in. I have a feeling I will be sharing in your grief tomorrow. Please continue to pursue your passion. I know we will all end up where we are "supposed" to be.
