Geez, I volunteer @ a hospital where I have seem more than my share of ugly scrubs! Interested to know what's the ugliest you have seen out there. I have 2 that come to mind:
(1) NASCAR race cars .. everywhere, ugh!
(2) A black and white top from afar upon closer inspection reveals it's a skull and crossbones design .. OK it was around Halloween but seriously? As a patient I would get creeped ...
Personally, I wish the RNs would wear scrubs that identify them apart from LPNs, CNAs or techs. They ALL look the same! Gotta freaking look for a badge that is not always prominently displayed .. but I digress ...
Perfect example of what I am talking about, non-peds ... I call this a scrubs FAIL. Sorry for the blurry image, it's zoomed in and lost a lot of resolution but you get the idea of what the design is. The background color is poop brown (not the "nice" brown someone described previously), and bottoms are black!
wow, that scrub top looked like something from a bad acid trip.... or Fantasia! lol
This one was the winner of Tafford's "Ugliest Scrubs" contest a couple of years ago...http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ba_2_1wqwRU/SLQBggCj34I/AAAAAAAAADc/cnosADeRtRg/s1600-h/ugly+5.JPG
Hell, at least her thong ain't sticking out and it's not see-through!!
Try a man's Hawaiian print top (not a scrub top) with buttons down the front paired with polyester tan pants (again, not nursing).
I hate it when young new nurses wear some sort of lacy long-sleeved undershirt with scrub top over it with the lacy top pulled down lower than the scrub top. Looks sloppy. (I say young, new nurses because we have several gals that do this).
I hate seeing wrinkled scrubs. I know we dont have a lot of time to get ready in the morning let alone time to iron, but it looks trashy.
I was given a scrub set by my 7 yr old nephew, he insisted his Mom get it for me as a graduation gift. It is pink, (I should say not just pink.... PINK) with these strange little black & white cartoon kittys all over it. Oh and the same PINK colored scrub pants! He was so proud of it, I of course made a big fuss over how wonderful it was. (Please don't tell him.... I've never worn them, they are still hanging in my closet).

I worked with an old "hippy" kind of nurse, who didn't wear underpants under his scrubs, I found this out when he was performing CPR and his scrubs came untied (string caught on the bedrail) and down they came! (Roomful of people all saw more than they bargained for)
