Patient had chest pain at beginning shift, 2 hours behind all day, got a heart cath, tech lazy,dinemapp problems, I was sweaty, transfused blood, families OMG!, too many accuchecks, now they're locking the refrigerator where insulin is, where's key? IV's infiltrated, pager not working, 6 patients, I love my job!

That's my 50 words...but I have to throw in there one thing--thank goodness there are 2 nurses on evening shift and that night happened to be my best bud working with me! She and I make a dynamic duo!!
Hospital on critical diversion, adequately staffed, amazing!, family member complaining about speck of blood under IV opsite for hours, asking everyone, getting the same answer, oh please let it go already, 6 pts, no discharges for me, no admissions for me, what a good day! Not pooped after 12 hours, amazing!
Cussed by an OD lady... charcoal all over scrubs.... Head bleed, intubation, mannitol accident. Now scrubs are black/white when started out blue. Nobody can speak English! stroke one TPA given.Lunch time! Chest pain, then guy whos rectum itched and used a steak knife to scratch it. Hello colostomy!

K = 1.8 . Slurring ---> Circumoral edema ---> allergic rx to amox. s/p ear infection---> epi/benadryl in ambulance. KCL infiltrated, Pt screaming. 12 bruises from bad sticks. Applied ice, new site first try, added IVFs downline.
