Started with 5, DC'd 3, 4 direct admits, family members surprisingly nice,

never stopped all day, charted morning assessments at 1700, interrupted during lunch 3 times, finally gave up, feet tired, glad it's over.

Floated to bone marrow transplant floor, 2 pts, IVIG gtt- VS every 15 minutes for 2 hours then every half hour. Other pt had platelet infusion, rigors, HR 160s, SOB, high fever, my first time experience with rigors- was scary. No break, ate 2 protein bars for my "meal" while charting, wondered how much longer I can handle this.

Unusually fantastic day! Started out with 5 easy patients. Kept 5 easy patients. We all actually had a chance to sit a few times and catch up with each others lives. Everyone had a good day. Wow!
