I have never heard of a nursing program that does not require you to have a baseline knowledge prior to acceptance and if I did, I would seriously question the quality of that program. Nursing school acceptance must be earned. I am pretty relieved that is the case given the importance of the job. Just hunker down and get it done. Best of luck to you.

Private colleges (i.e. Platt) do not require prereqs however; they are not accredited by the NLNAC but they are approved by the BON. In addition, they are extravagantly expensive.

Many university or 4-yr colleges offer direct entry BSN programs, but they are expensive and very competitive.

For example, I attend Rutgers University in New Jersey as a transfer, but had I applied and been accepted right out of high school, I would have entered the nursing program without any pre requisites. The College of New Jersey and Ramapo College offer similar programs and I'm sure other states have them too at universities.

These programs are technically designed for first degree traditional students coming out of high school. I'm hoping to start this fall, but I've already completed half of the program at community college, so I'm not far behind my class. The classes I took at community college are considered pre requisites for other schools, but they aren't "required" at Rutgers, so they will simply boost my application and lessen my time here.

Other than schools like these, you won't find nursing programs without pre requisites.
