Hello, I wanted to see if anyone else was in a similar situation as me and could offer some insight or reassurance about my situation. I understand that COVID is causing applications for licensure to the California Board of Nursing to be backed-up, but I am getting anxiety waiting for my ATT. I really want to test soon, and I've been waiting SO long since graduation. Not sure what to do now except to continue studying everyday hoping my application is going to be approved soon. Here is the timeline:
Graduated: March 7
Submitted application for licensure: March 20
Application reviewed 7 weeks later, but was missing pre-req transcripts
I immediately sent in electronic pre-req transcripts May 11, but transcripts were (FINALLY) attached to the application June 15
According to the BON, from the attachment of the transcripts it would take another 2-4 weeks to review/process my application (AGAIN)
Total time since application submission: 14 weeks with no changes on BreEZe regarding application status/no ATT in sight
Anyone going through something similar? ?
Hey everyone just wanted to update you guys! So as you know I applied on Breeze May 7, Graduated May 22, Transcripts sent June 19 or so. After almost 14 weeks later, I finally got my ATT. I was in shock because I didn’t think it was gonna happen so soon, I was really losing hope. So nervous and excited at the same time!
I got BRN approval on Wednesday last week and the ATT came the next day at 9 PM. Scheduled my NCLEX for sometime this week. I didn’t send any additional transcripts, but I did contact an Assemblymember regarding my delay with the BRN and they were in contact with me for almost 1 week before I got approved (Got the idea from several people on allnurses). I’m not sure if that helped but I know I was one of the first to have an approved application on Breeze. There are still people in my cohort waiting for their application to be approved and their ATT. Make sure you don’t have any deficiencies and that you submitted your Passport photo correctly as it can cause delays if your app gets processed.
@SiliconValleyNurse OMG that’s great news! How do I get in contact with an assembly member?! Best of luck on NCLEX!
@Navelyn Thank you! So, Assemblymembers are based on where you live. They serve a specific District. So I just Googled Assemblymember California and typed in my address and it told me who was my assemblymember based on my location. I was on their website and it had a “contact us” Section so I wrote explaining my situation and then I got a reply from someone who works at that office the next day.

Hi SiliconValleyNurse- Can I ask you what you sent the assemblymember regarding the delays? I am still waiting for my ATT as well. I tried looking up posts about contacting them. Is there a templet or format to send them about our issues? Thanks
Hi! So I sent an email to my assembly member explaining my situation. I interviewed for an RN New Grad program today & feel like it went very well. I might get the job offer which would be tremendous for my family. Fingers crossed my assembly member helps my cause. Best of luck with your NCLEX!

Application date: May 22 not the 28th
Approved: August 18
And I went to school out of state
Hey there, I dot understand why the website is still saying that they are processing May 1-15 applications. Any ideas? I am just hoping I still get mine approved within that 10-12 week time frame the website says. I feel confident now that you are saying you submitted yours on May 22

Just out of curiosity did you have previous work experience in the healthcare field?

I have no clue why the processing timeframe hasn’t changed in all these weeks. One of my classmates who also applied on May 22 was approved last week as well. I went down to the board in person to inquire about my application and I’m not sure if that helped. (That was 2 weeks before they approved it). My classmate did not do that though.
I emailed my assembly person and never got a response, but the very next day was approved. (So not sure if that was what did it)
it might help to go to the board in person and/or reach out to your assembly person. Tell them you have a job offer that you might lose so it puts a bit of pressure.

Hi @SiliconValleyNurse
so my friend that graduated from college of the canyons ADN program graduated before me. She submitted her BRN app late May & by Jul 21 she got her ATT. She just posted yesterday on FB that she passed boards. It’s so weird to hear that some people are getting ATT’s fast and others are past 13 week mark and still nothing! What are they telling you when you call?
I graduated June 11. Submitted app on June 18 (our school did not tell us we can submit our app before graduation). Still have not heard anything. I got an interview for a New grad program at RCH. Start date would be October. I’m praying I can test before the start date...
