Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals Nclex-RN NY

Nursing Students NCLEX

For those residing in NY and have been approved for DACA:Have you taken your NCLEX, or applying for it? If so, question #22 under citizenship/immigration status which choice did you select?ncjaio.jpgThe one that makes the most sense is choice H. Non-Immigrant (Temporarily in U.S).On the blank space below for immigration status should I write: Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (c33)? It's a new process so it only makes sense as to why it's not included as a choice. But I'm afraid that the BON might not be too familiar with DACA and might delay my application.Any thoughts? Any information related to this is very much appreciated. Thank you.

@rngooddaytosavelives truthfully, I don't recall the application asking for an immigration status. But if it did I would have most certainly stated DACA. Hope this helps

Thank you!!

Im in florida. I just took my nclex. I was able to test with my temporary license. However i just saw my license information online and my license expires in less than 6 months from now. Im guessing its just a temporary as my license. Does anybody else obtained theirs for only 6 months as well?

Hey nursepower123,

I am having the same problem. Were you able to get a license in Georgia? If not, did you find a solution.

Thank you!

Hey!

I am in GA and have a feeling I might not be allowed to sit. Does anyone know about Georgia?

Hi guys!

I'm in Philadelphia, PA. I'm planning on registering to do my nclex. Anyone from PA who received their license with DACA status? My state id doesn't have any temp writing on it though. Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks!

Nosde, were you able to get your license? I am set to take the boards soon but NCBON has not yet cleared my Criminal background check due to an old deportation that has been administratively closed. I just sent it the statement and the court papers and I am hoping to get cleared soon.

Is there anyone able to endorse to other state with DACA status?? I'm planning on endorsing to MD.
