Hey everyone
I'm going to be petitioning for DCCC's 2015 nursing program. I recently just finished my TEAS (80.6%) and still waiting from the state about my clearances. In the mean time, I was told to take the TEAS one more time to "lock myself in" the day program at the Marple campus. Still debating that, but at this point it really can't hurt to sit through one more testing session.
Anyway, has anyone petitioned up to this point? It might be a little early to hear back (supposedly December-ish), but it could happen. I just wanted to get a feel for some TEAS scores, maybe get a little feedback/advice from the other nursing students that just completed their first year, etc.
Thanks all, and good luck!
Hi Everyone! I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas!
I am also trying to prepare for the start of the program next Fall--mentally, physically
and financially. Like Val, I have similar questions for someone in the Chester County Weekend/Night program. One of the questions I have is whether we get to choose our section? I notice from the schedule posted in the nursing application there are 2 sections--sec. 95 and 96. Also, how soon do clinicals start and what we will need, etc...
As for as the RN-BSN Joint program with Drexel, I only heard Nancy Wheeler mention it at the meeting once but I do not have too much more info. about it yet. I am going to check it out over the next week and let you guys know what I find out.
Hey Val and Jweicheng,
Page 13 of this packet has the schedule for class and clinicals :
I found the thread for 2014 really helpful... i remember someone posting a bout scrubs, shoes and books that we would need. I don't want to misquote anyone, so i suggest just reading their posts instead of mine. I think that will all be discussed at orientation as well, but of course - we're all super anxious! Val, I also remember reading someone posting either on the 2013 or 2014 thread about the schedule, and specifically mentioning that we weren't allowed to choose our section . Also - i think (from information session) that clinicals begin 2 months after the start of the first semester. Before that its 2 hours in sim lab on clinical days.
Definitely check out the 2014 thread... most of this stuff was discussed towards the end, so look for that!

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!! So exciting! I just want to start now lol
I wish i knew more about the program and how it works as far as when classes and everything will be and also what we will be needing for it, I want to start getting things now as to not completely blow my budget toward the end of next year.
If anyone has any info please share!
Does anyone know anything about the drexel RN-BSN joint program? This is the first I have heard about it. How much does it cost, what is it going to be adding to course load, anything?
I have a small child and I work at a small company out of a house where I am able take my child to work, so I have no daycare or sitter or anything like that. I have a few friends and family that have said that they will be more than willing to help me with her if I need it, but I just feel so unprepared because I have no idea what I am getting into. I did the night and weekend program so i could still work and my fiance works early mornings (2am-10:30am) so he will be watching her at night when i am in classes and whatnot.
If anyone has any information on anything I would greatly appreciate it!
