Hey everyone! would just like to see or hear from those waiting for the October board. its only a couple months away and im praying for good numbers! im supposed to be going for the interview pretty soon. any advice or tips? thanks!

Hello All! I myself am applying and my recruiter has told me that there will be approx. 30-50 positions available for this FY. Also I had been notified that the applications opened August 15th (which may or may not be accurate). Hope this information is helpful.

Hello to all on this thread. I am one of the NC Program Managers and I would like to clear up a few dates just so that no one is disappointed when a longer time goes by than what is currently expected. The recruiters get a lot of info all the time, and it changes based on the needs and shifts of the Navy, so please DO NOT think that this is meant to undermine them. It is merely meant to help manage your expectations.

We will not be accepting Direct Accession applications until October 1, 2014. The first board will not be anytime prior to the November timeframe. Where the confusion might be is that we began accepting NCP (Nurse candidate applications) on August 1 and that board will be held in October.

We currently do not have insight to the number of Direct Accession quotas (positions) so any numbers being given are purely a "best guess" based on past years.

Please be patient…it is part of the military life to embrace the mantra "Semper Gumby" and be flexible. While it is not ideal, believe me when I say that it is absolutely no ones intent to make you feel like things change every five minutes.

Foxessb1- hey!! I spoke with my recruiter a couple days ago..she said theyre still anticipating kits to be accepted early october; board meeting early november..wat are u being credentialed under? My recruiter said im gonna be under critical care...i wonder if thats a good thing or a bad thing lol

I'm credentialed for OR. I'm glad they're still anticipating. I have been keeping touch with my recruiter, but I didn't want to keep annoying him with the same questions.

Niiice! Yea with the board meeting early november..im expecting to hear something mid november..just have to keep our fingers crossed for now
