Hey everyone! would just like to see or hear from those waiting for the October board. its only a couple months away and im praying for good numbers! im supposed to be going for the interview pretty soon. any advice or tips? thanks!

Ive been trying to keep busy and not think about the board hoping time will fly by...im just waiting on my interview which should happen soon according to my recruiter..he said im about done just waiting for that part...hopefully we get good numbers, better yet hopefully everyone gets in lol

vinstafa- yea i didnt hear anything about sept 10, my recruiter said the board should be meeting the first couple weeks of oct to see if theres a need. Just hoping it wasnt like last year...

Going crazy would be a relief. I have learned to not get my hopes up, that's for sure, but the October seems to be the most promising. I feel like over the last two years I have spoken to my recruiter so much it's like he's become a family member lol. The worst part is that every six months I have to update everything, and I hate asking my co-workers, my manager, and the commander I know to update my references; they are just about as burnt out as I am.

Yea i should probably not get toooo excited either..hopefully this oct board is promising..who knows they might accept a lot because of last year lol where ru frm?

I hate resigning everything after a few months, so I can't imagine how you're able to stick with it. When I enlisted 8 years ago, it was so easy. I wish it was like that now, but I know why it's not.

I spoke with my recruiter today and finally found out some information for this upcoming October. He read me an email from the program manager that stated there WILL be openings for DA for general nursing 1900, CRNA, critical care 1960, and something other ones. I stopped listening because I was too busy celebrating over them having numbers for 1960. Looks like there is a tad bit of light at the end of the tunnel!!!!!

I was informed today by my recruiter that my package is completely done and just waiting for them to start accepting packages. He's hoping for September 1, so hopefully we'll know in a few short weeks whether we're going to board or not. One step at a time!

Foxessb1- congrats! Thats a milestone in itself! Yea my kit is almost done as well....so they start accepting kits Sept 1...but we wont know till about Oct-ish right?

Yeah, the boards are still "tentatively" scheduled for October. I'm just glad to be done.

My recruiter said the numbers are going to be smmmmmaaaaaaaalllllllll for DA. Hopefully that changes. I'm basically done my package, just might need another interview and resign my papers.
