Hello,
Has anyone applied to Cypress for spring 2020? I've applied and submit all of my documentation yesterday. Good luck to all!
Hi guys,
I am wondering if any one here have working experience that is more than 200 hrs. How did you have the letter from your boss/Doctor? I am in a very hard situation right now. I am applying to Cypress for Spring and I want a letter from my doctor so I could have more chance to get in. However, my doctor said he needs a form/link from the school sent to him so he can fill it out my hours, my position, experience i have gained at his office and the send it back to the school I am applying for. I asked Cypress and they said there is no form or link. I think I would have to quit my job at his office (which is 5 months already) and look for another one. My doctor said he has been doing this a lot of times for his staffs, but this is the first time he heard about schools not sending forms to Doctors.
Anyone have experience about this?? Thank you guys.
Best,
Amy
Hello! Sorry I’m slow to the party! I also applied. But I guess I never counted my points. The lady who took my application said I have a really great chance. I’m so nervous!
I applied to GWC, LBCC, Rio Hondo, cypress, and Saddleback. I’m thinking about applying to Santa Ana as well
Does anyone know when we find out?

I just drafted and emailed a letter (with a blank space to insert total hours worked) for my employer/direct supervisor to complete, sign, and print on the company letterhead.
Make sure signatures are original otherwise it will not be counted.
One of my two letters that had over 3,000 hours verified was not counted all because I had the business office email me the signed copy. My silly mistake - I should have had the letter mailed to me. The office is two hours away from where I live now.
Hope this helps, Amy.

To what I know there're two, one around Feb (for Fall semester) and one in Sep (for spring semester), but someone also says there is only one period each year. So confusing. And if we are denied, do we have to re-do the whole process and just turn in additional documentation? Thank you
Adang, Cypress College Nursing Program has only one application period a year. It is every September and the dates are always posted on the school's website page. You can not update any information once your application is submitted. You can continue to reapply each year and then get bumped up on the waitlist each year you don't get it but you have to reapply consecutively (back to back every September).

I think the nursing program needed your proof of employment by Oct. 1st, so it may be too late to submit this document. But normally they require a letter on company letterhead that states your title, how long you have worked for the company, and how many hours you have worked. Then a signature from your HR or Manager needs to be on it as well.
Actually you can see what the application requires here. Hope this helps for the next application in September of 2020.
@Waniagonz HI! I tried to login in as well to check my application status but once i put in my login it directs me to a page like where it asks application type either bachelor funeral service or health information technology ? it doesn't show me the page it normally did. Is that whats happening to you also?
