Cypress College

Anybody apply to Cypress College or is planning to? I was dumb enough to go the first day, and even though I was a half hour early, I ended up waiting a good 4+ hours for an application. Probably not the best set up I've seen, but whatever, this is the school I want to get in! So, here's the thread for Cypress, and wishing nothing but the very best to all us 2011 hopefuls!

well, if you're high on the alternates list, it's all good I suppose?

But yeah, it seemed like there were more alternates than accepted o-O

Hey guava, how much different was the science section on the test compared to the ones in teas V.5?

it's completely different. It's also completely random! I looked at the questions and it was really a matter of you know it or you don't. (geology and rocks) As for the simple bio, physics, and chem..you can get that info from the version 5 book that you have =)

Ok thankyoou so much. How was the english and math? How well did you think you did? Was it difficult for you overall?

english , reading, and math were easy. I had time to finish, double check my answers + walk outside and eat a snack.

I didn't find the test too difficult and I'm sure I did better than a 67% I'm just not sure where I'll fall exactly. It feels good to be done but I'd really just like to have a spot open up for me so I know for sure I'm in.

I wanted to smack myself in the face when all the alternates raised their hands. There were way more than 50 in my opinion. And when she told the alternates that they shouldn't do the physical or background check until they're accepted for sure I was kinda chuckling to myself as I have already done ALL of it. It's what I get for trying to get ahead I suppose :p

Seeing all those alternates worried me too! And don't worry NCamp, I finished all my health stuff as well. I really am just planning on getting in since I really don't want to wait any longer to start school ;)
