Cypress College

Anybody apply to Cypress College or is planning to? I was dumb enough to go the first day, and even though I was a half hour early, I ended up waiting a good 4+ hours for an application. Probably not the best set up I've seen, but whatever, this is the school I want to get in! So, here's the thread for Cypress, and wishing nothing but the very best to all us 2011 hopefuls!

wow. nice! You know how people say that teas ver. 5 is harder compared to ver3/4? If we review the ver.5 and practice those test in the study manual, do you think the actual teas exam version 3/4 would be much easier?

That's hard to say. I think the science is going to be different. The level of life sciences is easier on version 4, but then they have geological questions on rock formation and tectonic plates that are like....what the you know what! I'd say that since you have both books, just go with the version 4. I've heard that the study guide is harder than the actual test.

well i only have the version5 study manual and now at this point in time, it's too late to order the other version haha how are you studying those geology questions guava?

well, um... Was planning to goto Barnes and Noble today to be a bum! They have the book, so I'll just go and take a 2 hour peek at it. 0=)

You mean you don't know what "subduction" is all about? Joking... I agree the geology section is tricky, but at least there aren't too many questions. The English/Reading was easy so that compensated for my science score.

Has anyone found out what the passing score is? and if it is an overall score or based on each section?

I just took the online assessment and it was pretty easy but I couldn't believe my science score was the lowest. That is what I should be best at! haha

I've been told that it's based on the overall score. What that score is i'm not so sure.

The passing score is 67% and it's for the "overall" score
