Anybody apply to Cypress College or is planning to? I was dumb enough to go the first day, and even though I was a half hour early, I ended up waiting a good 4+ hours for an application. Probably not the best set up I've seen, but whatever, this is the school I want to get in! So, here's the thread for Cypress, and wishing nothing but the very best to all us 2011 hopefuls!
NCamp~ I'm relieved to hear I'm not the only one who took a beating from the TDap.
I got mine on Thursday & I literally could not lift my arm laterally for the next 24 hours.
It's just starting to loosen up today. I felt like such a baby! Lol. I usually have a pretty high pain tolerance. And the varicella vaccine on my other arm is having a weird reaction. Fun fun fun!
Haha its not bad once you have been there a semester. For me the T-DaP vaccine was the worst. It was super sore for about 3 days afterwardI haven't received the paperwork back regarding the titers though so I may need one or two more soon.
RAWR I wish they would just give me an acceptance already! I'd love to be in this semesters batch. Everyone on here is so nice!
I had Tdap last year so I lucked out with it now... But I do remember that one being pretty painful!
I totally agree with you... still crossing my fingers for all of us on the alternate list!!
Schoolie- it has been my understanding (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) that anytime you skip a semester you need to reapply. You will retain your old student id number and credits earned but they will want you to apply again. It could be different for the nursing program though so I'd speak with a counselor to be safe.
Meggie- haha yeah the TDaP was awful. If you haven't gone through the Hep B series yet Just wait. It Burns like crazy when they inject it. I had chicken pox as a kid so I just had a titer so I got lucky on that one
after reading that...I'm happy that my brother gave me chicken pox as a kid, lol.
I got the Hep B series about ten years ago prior to moving to the States, and I remember my arm being on fire for a while....
I took a semester off at IVC to be a TA for anatomy, and yes I had to reapply again the following semester. It sucks, because you lose your priority for registration. However if it's for nursing, then no big deal because your classes are guaranteed.
nope. I took them at Irvine Valley College. 1 min drive versus 1 hour drive =)
Btw, I recommend taking the online assessment test on the ATI website. It's 35 bucks (rip off) but you get a nice breakdown of what's going on, and what you need to focus on. Honestly, I wouldn't stress about it too much. I finished the entire test in 45 minutes and scored a 88%. It's like Jess said, you pass high school, you pass TEAs.

I've haven't taken any more classes at Cypress since spring, so do I need to reapply to the school or am I in their system already
