Cypress College

Anybody apply to Cypress College or is planning to? I was dumb enough to go the first day, and even though I was a half hour early, I ended up waiting a good 4+ hours for an application. Probably not the best set up I've seen, but whatever, this is the school I want to get in! So, here's the thread for Cypress, and wishing nothing but the very best to all us 2011 hopefuls!

I took my test on Saturday :) I'm anxious for my results as well but I'm sure we all did better than 67%! The science part was ridiculous. I haven't learned about rocks and tectonic plates since 5th grade.

I passed too :yeah: Somehow I did so much better than I thought, haha!

I think we need to STOP waiting for that phone call.... then maybe it will come ;)

Yay! I got 95th percentile! And that's with epically failing the science part..*sheepish grin*

Btw, they told us when family night is, does anyone know where? Or is it tbd..

yeah i don't think i got that info either. I just got down when and what time it's going to be. Anybody else know where the family night is going to be at?

Kind of random, but some of our "sempais" set up a facebook page for nursing students! If you look under cypress college nursing on FB, you should be able to find it =)

Were they expensive? Where did you go? I'm planning on losing 60 pounds next year so I will be having to buy new sets as I lose weight. Maybe it will be good if I end up going in the fall instead.

I went to Buena Park Mall, store is called like " scrub shoppe" or something..the owner is this really nice Taiwanese lady. The uniforms were $31 for shirt and pants, and I bought 3 sets since I'm a magnet for getting uniforms dirty. (crazy stuff always happens to me) I bought uniforms a little bigger, because I needed them longer to cover my butt, since the pants are nice and see through. O_O. Plus, room to grow never hurt anyone =)

I gotta say, I won't be attracting any hot dudes wearing that outfit...

Good luck on your weight loss! I lost 20 lbs last year and somehow managed to maintain the loss for over a year. It's a lot of hard work, but it really makes you feel extraordinary every day- being active and more confident. Good luck to you! Make sure you make a regimen and follow it. Nursing school from what I heard is a nice gateway for weight GAIN, so we'll both have to be strict on ourselves! Happy Holidays Friend!

Where did you look up the scores? I looked online at atitesting.com and it wasn't up.
